Engelse Boeken - Lectuur en literatuur

Ik zoek goede Engelse boeken maar wel met een aantal eisen. Ik wil Engelse boeken, geen Amerikaanse. Persoonlijk heb ik echt een hekel aan Amerikaanse boeken. Daarbij moet het verhaal me ook vanaf het begin kunnen aangrijpen anders heb ik niet meer het geduld om verder te lezen. Ik lees over het algemeen geen fantasie. Hebben jullie goede tips?

I know right, als je die mooi vond dan zijn de andere ook zeker iets voor jou. Ik kijk vanavond wel een keer in mijn boekenkast wat ik nog staan heb ^^

Nice, want ik wil mijn Engels wat bijschaven. Normale Engelse lessen heb ik nog nooit gehad dus ga ik het mezelf maar eens aanleren.

Never Let Me Go van Kazuo Ishiguro, is van een Japans/britse schrijver maar speelt zich af in Engeland en het is echt een prachtig boek!

Ik weet niet hoe dat voor jou zal zijn... Maar het is een dik (1200pgs) boek, middeleeuwen (kerk speelt een grotere rol), romantiek en actie.
