Personality Michael is a fun and easily lovable hyperactive kid with a tendency to spontaneously acting upon his gut feelings and to be open towards everyone. Nobody even bothers to ask any more what on god's forsaken earth he is doing this time around. He is extremely reckless and stubborn and is always op for new adventures, just for the hell of it and to learn something, but mostly just to have a blast. You'll have to take him as he is or otherwise fuck off. He won't change for anyone and won't be used by anyone either. The boy is neither silent nor polite, so if you act like a douche-bag around him, he'll call you out on it. He does have manners, but hardly ever uses them. Michael is a hopeless optimist, a hoper of far-flung hopes and a dreamer of impossible dreams. Still you will be able to break him with the few touchy subjects surrounding his young life. He'll either get extremely mad and won't be afraid to curse, break stuff and throw a few punches, or he'll hide in a tiny dark corner and become completely silent and closed for the outside world. Even so, he trusts easily and will die for you if you are his friend or loved-one. Even though his friends and loved-ones are his complete world, Michael has some weird ways of showing his affection, but one you get used to them, he'll be the most loving, sweet and huggable guy you'll ever meet. The boy also is a big flirt, even though he can't use his large disarming puppy-eyes any more. He loves all the attention, but once he is in a relationship, Mickey is more loyal than a dog and will always try his best to make all his partner's wishes come true. It also can hurt him a lot when he notices that he has accidentally hurt his partner and will try even harder to make up for it. Adding to all this is that Michael will never cheat or break-up with someone, which has lead to the fact that he has been dumped several times. It has brought him a fair share of pain and has made his skin though. This is why he sometimes might seem like an arrogant ass-hole, but this is just for his own protection. Once you're past it the lovable hyperactive 5-year-old will take up all the empty space you have left in your heart.
Appearance Every time you come across this fellow it will be a surprise which colour his hair will be this time. Michael is addicted to dying his hair and the addiction has become even worse since the loss of his eyesight. This might seem weird, but it is just a way to escape his life as a blind man for him. Michael furthermore always wears a pair of sunglasses, from which he has a large variety, and a mischievous smile on his face, which always predicts that something will happen sooner rather than later. He's not extremely tall, muscular or tan, but he feels fine in his own skin. Only as a born and raised citizen of Sydney he has always been called a skinny sheet, due to his pale skin and lack of muscles. He is also often busy contemplating, planning and setting up the weirdest jokes and pranks, which ensures that he looks even weirder than with his crazy coloured spiky hair. His hands are clearly marked by years of playing the guitar, which he still does actually. His fingertips are covered the calluses and his hands and arms are very muscular, even though the muscles are not very bulky. He can be very precise with his hands due to this, but can also be unintentionally rough, because he does not know how strong he actually is.
Everything about your illness Michael's condition was first discovered when he out of a tree and got a concussion. He needed to get a CT scan of his head and that is when they found the tumours on his optic nerves. He had a few more scans, but it seemed like they were the only tumours he had. So, after he'd recovered from his concussion he went into his first operation to remove his left eye and optic nerve, which had the largest tumours. After they found out it were hostile tumours he got started on chemo and had his other eye and optic nerve removed. This is how Michael became blind at just 16. He is lucky that he has been clean for just over 2 years, but his blindness still frustrates him a lot. Especially because it limits him in the things he loves to do. Also the fact that people pity him can frustrate the boy very much and make him snap at people from time to time. He isn't a charity case and he doesn't want to be treated that way either.
Extra Michael plays the guitar for countless years already and once he got blind, he had no intention of quitting. He just can't. Playing guitar and writing songs are his life. He puts his heart and soul into it and won't stay sane without it. He is praised for his skill, but can also be very annoying, because he doesn't stick to acceptable times when it comes to playing or composing.
Michael has never fallen for looks in his life and the fact that he is blind has only made that stronger. He falls for someone's personality. This is also the reason why he makes no distinction between guys and girls when it comes to relationships. As long as he likes your personality, you're a keeper for him.
Michael has had a guide dog for just over a year now, because it was no use giving his a stick to walk around with. He couldn't get the hang of it and just got into more trouble and dangerous situations as he would without the damn stick. He still has it, but nowadays only uses it to cause more trouble than necessary. Since the day Michael got introduced to
Max his world changed and he got a lot of his freedom back, which resulted in him becoming more and more the mischievous clown again, which he always had been. The impalement of the stick had caused him a lot of distress, discomfort and made him unable to do many things he can now do with his dog, Max, who is at the same time his best friend.
