I'm struggling with a sentence at the moment:

There was no sign of light to detect in the bedroom.

I'm pretty sure that 'to detect' is wrong, but I don't no what exactly. I wanted to write: *Er was geen teken van licht in de slaapkamer te bespeuren*
Is there someone who can help me? (:

Eh, I have really no idea but I think 'There was no sign of light to detect in the bedroom.' is good.. If you aren't sure you always can use Google translate, I know it sucks hard, but I'm really using it sometimes.
