Map of King's Landing

Storyline

King's Landing is sinds Aegon's Verovering het centrum van de macht in Westeros. De jonge Targaryen koning Aegon the Conqueror veroverde Westeros samen met zijn queen-sisters en hun draken. Nu heersen zij vanuit de hoofdstad over het continent. Aan het hof van de Targaryen's verblijven de machtigste adelijken van het land, samen met hun hofhouding.

Nu, één jaar na de verovering van heel Westeros, is de grote zaal van de Red Keep rijk versierd met Targaryen-banners, drakenmotieven en weelderige bloemstukken. De zaal wordt gevuld met muziek terwijl adellijke families samenkomen om de eenwording van Westeros onder Targaryen-heerschappij te vieren. Ter ere van het éénjarig jubileum van Aegon's Verovering wordt een debutantenbal georganiseerd. Dit bal dient als een gelegenheid om huwbare edelen te presenteren voor potentiële huwelijken, waarmee allianties worden gesmeed en de stabiliteit van het nieuwe rijk wordt versterkt.

Regels van het Hof

Deze regels helpen om de orde, respect en veiligheid binnen het Targaryen hof te handhaven en zorgen ervoor dat het hofleven soepel en volgens protocol verloopt:

Basisinformatie

Deze RPG speelt zich af aan het hof in King's Landing, ongeveer 300 jaar voor de gebeurtenissen in "House of the Dragon".

Situatie voor Aegon's Vervovering - De Zeven Regerende Families

Vóór Aegon's Verovering (ook bekend als Aegon's Conquest) waren er verschillende grote huizen die over de Zeven Koninkrijken van Westeros heersten. Elke regio had zijn eigen heersende huis:

• Kingdom of the North (Het Noorden) - Het Huis Stark regeerde als koningen van het Noorden vanuit Winterfell.
• Kingdom of the Mountain and the Vale (De Vale) - Het Huis Arryn heerste over de Vale van Arryn.
• Kingdom of the Isles and Rivers (De Rivierenlanden) - Het Huis Hoare (House Hoare) regeerde over de Rivierenlanden vanuit Harrenhal.
• Kingdom of the Rock (De Westlanden) - Het Huis Lannister was het heersende huis in de Westlanden vanuit Casterly Rock.
• Kingdom of the Stormlands (De Stormlanden) - Het Huis Durrandon regeerde over de Stormlanden vanuit Storm's End.
• Kingdom of the Reach (Het Bereik) - Het Huis Gardener was de heersende dynastie in het Bereik vanuit Highgarden.
• Princedom of Dorne (Dorne) - Dorne werd geregeerd door verschillende vorstenhuizen, zoals het Huis Martell vanuit Sunspear.

Situatie na Aegon's Vervovering - Targaryen heerschappij

Na Aegon's Conquest waren er geen onafhankelijke koningen meer in de Zeven Koninkrijken van Westeros. Na Aegon's Conquest werden alle eerdere koninkrijken verenigd onder de heerschappij van de Targaryens. De titels van koning werden afgeschaft voor alle regionale heersers behalve voor de koning op de IJzeren Troon, dat is Aegon momenteel. Hij heert samen met zijn twee sisterqueens Visenya and Rhaenys. ~~Ja ze zijn siblings en met elkaar getrouwd.~~ De oude regionale heersers dienden als leenmannen van de Targaryen-koningen. De belangrijkste leenmannen van Aegon de Veroveraar waren:

• House Stark - Lords van Winterfell en het Noorden.
• House Arryn - Lords van de Vale van Arryn.
• House Lannister - Lords van Casterly Rock en de Westlanden.
• House Baratheon - Lords van Storm's End en de Stormlanden.
• House Gardener - Lords van Highgarden en het Bereik (voor hun ondergang in de Field of Fire).
• House Martell - Lords van Sunspear en Dorne (na hun vredige overgave).

Deze huizen, samen met andere regionale heersers, erkenden Aegon als hun koning nadat hij met zijn draken en legers Westeros had veroverd. Ze behielden een mate van autonomie in hun respectievelijke regio's, maar waren verplicht om Aegon te dienen en belastingen en troepen bij te dragen wanneer dat nodig was.

Personages

Rollen kunnen een highborn of een lowborn inwoner van King's Landing zijn. Ze kunnen zowel uit Westeros als Essos afkomstig zijn, al zullen de meeste leden van het hof afkomstig zijn uit Westeros.

High borns

Als hooggeborene ben je een lid van de adel en speel je een belangrijke rol aan het hof. Je kan een lid zijn van de Targaryen familie of een van de andere adelijke families in Westeros. Je kunt, maar dat hoeft niet, een van de volgende posities bekleden:

• Meester van Schepen - Verantwoordelijk voor de koninklijke marine en de verdediging van de kustlijnen van het koninkrijk.
• ~~Meester van Whisperers~~ - Verantwoordelijk voor inlichtingen en spionage, verzamelt informatie ter bescherming van het rijk.
• Lord Commander van de Kingsguard - Leidt de elite Kingsguard, zorgt voor de veiligheid van de koninklijke familie.
• Hoge Septoon - De hoogste religieuze figuur, biedt spirituele leiding en houdt toezicht op religieuze ceremonies.
• Warden - Adellijke heren die verantwoordelijk zijn voor de veiligheid en het beheer van specifieke regio's (~~Noord~~, Oost, Zuid, West).
• Hofdames - Adellijke vrouwen die de koningin en prinsessen dienen, hen assisteren met verschillende taken en gezelschap bieden.

• Staljongens - Verzorgen de paarden en onderhouden de stallen, zorgen ervoor dat de rijdieren klaar zijn voor reizen en evenementen. [0/2]
• Wachters/Schutters - Zorgen voor de beveiliging van het kasteel en zijn inwoners, bewaken ingangen en patrouilleren over het terrein. [0/2]
• Boodschappers/Koeriers - Brengen berichten binnen het kasteel en naar nabijgelegen locaties, zorgen voor soepele communicatie. [0/2]
• Entertainers - Muzikanten, dansers en narren die optreden voor het hof tijdens evenementen en bijeenkomsten. [1/2]

• Marek Maegyr quickly fell in love with Zelarra when he saw her dancing in the streets of Lys, when he was there for slave business for the family. The feeling was mutual and it was not long before the couple got married. His parents weren't all too happy that Marek was marrying a mysterious girl, from whom the only thing they really knew, was that she hailed from Asshai. Marek promised that the Zelarra would not distract him in any way, shape or form from his ambitions to one day become part of the Triarchy.
• It was a happy marriage at first and the couple was overjoyed when they got Lethia. However, as the years passed, Marek grew more powerhungry and his psychopathic tendecies showed more and more. He very well knew Zelarra was a witch, and asked her if she could make his biggest rival just the tiniest bit ill, so he could go and steal one of his slaving deals. Zelarra was reluctant at first, obliging eventually. What start as simply making some people ill, evolved in offing people, subtly. The more Marek asked Zelarra to do for him, the more reluctant she became, the angrier Marek became. The once so happy marriage wasn't so happy anymore and became defined by the colours red and blue. The trips to Asshai became longer and longer, and the longer those trips, the more frustrated Marek grew with Zelarra, accussing her of taking his daugther away from him.
• Though however he treated Zelarra, he often dotted on Lethia.
• Once Marek had threatened Zelarra multiple times that he make sure to banish her from the city, and keep Lethia in the city with him, something in Zelarra broke and she ran off with Lethia. Marek has not stopped looking for them since.

A S S H A I
• Lethia spend the first eight years of her life between Asshai and Volantis. Asshai is a city located in the far southeast of the continent of Essos, on the eastern shore of the Jade Sea. Due to the great distances separating them, the Westerosi know very little about Asshai, save that it is a great seaport and that its people are exotic. Beyond Asshai lies an area known as the Shadow Lands, which are said to lie "under the Shadow". What exactly is casting "the Shadow" is not known, nor is the exact nature of "the Shadow." Asshai is also known for its broad spectrum of magical practices.
• When Lethia was a little kid, Zelarra already told her stories about dragons and their riders. She has vague, fragments of memories of seeing dragons before the Targaryens arrived in Westeros, but isn't sure whether she really saw them or if she made it up.

H O U S E M A E G Y R
• House Maegyr is one of the prominent noble families in the Free City of Volantis. It is known for its Valyrian heritage and often aligns with the Tiger faction, advocating for more aggressive policies. House Maegyr is a rich and powerful banking dynasty, owning many slaves.
• Volantis, often called Old Volantis and the First Daughter, is a city in southwestern Essos. Located at the mouth of the Rhoyne on the Summer Sea, it is the oldest and the proudest of the Nine Free Cities. Volantis is one of the greatest, richest, and most powerful of these city-states. The culture of Volantis is auster en martial. It also has a large slave population, which forms the backbone of its economy and society.
• Volantis has a diverse economy based on trade, agriculture, and slavery. Its strategic location at the mouth of the Rhoyne makes it a major trade hub, connecting the interior of Essos with the wider world.

A R R I V A L I N W E S T E R O S
• Zelarra and Lethia fled from Volantis to Westeros. Zelarra had always been truthful to Lethia about their move: her father was a bad man. Lethia had always very firmly been told that she should not ever trust a noble man, especially those whom seem kind and friendly at first. Nor that she could never tell anyone where they were from and who her father was. It would only get them in trouble.
• It wasn't long before Zelarra started to work for a seamstress. The women was reluctant at first, but was swayed when Zelarra offered that she could work for little money the first few years and that Lethia could become an apprentice of sorts.

"ADOPTION"
• Petar Baelish was one of the frequent customers in the shop. He came in one early morning, while Lethia was playing on a dingy piano in the shop. When asked upon, Zelarra told Lord Baelish that Lethia often played the songs she heard earlier, from the top of her head, and that she learned it herself (in reality, she has had music classes in Volantis since she was four years old).
• Lord Baelish saw potential in the little red headed girl, struck a deal with the seamstress and Zelarra and bought Lethia, to have her as his little prodigy and be her patron. Zelarra was extremely hesitant at first, but figured that Lethia being in the care of a Lord would possibly offer her more safety then she herself could offer, should Marek ever find them again.
• Baelish let her see her mother a few times per year, but forbade any visitations once Lethia turned thirteen. As soon as she was old enough and could sort of travel by herself, Lethia regularly sneaked off, dealing with the repercussions of it later.

T H E Y E A R S A F T E R
• After Lord Baelish took her in, life didn't necessarily became much better. He was a very harsh teacher, often making Lethia practice her music until her fingers would bleed.
• When Lord Baelish found out she not only had a natural talent for music, but also for dancing, he drilled her in dancing as well. Seeing her talent in both music and dancing as, let's say, ✨magical✨.
• He would regularly threaten that he would just sell her back to the brothel, if she didn't try hard enough.
• Lord Baelish never taught her how to read or write in the Common Tongue.
• She spend much of her time in the castle of the Baelish family, but she never felt much at ease here. The older Lethia got, the more Lord Baelish' son, Pjytr Baelish, stared at her. When she raised her discomfort with this to Lady Baelish, the women shut her down immediately and told her she was overreacting. Lady Baelish often seemed jealous of all the time her husband was spending on the young girl.
• Lethia started to play in courts at the age of thirteen, starting with the smaller houses, and eventually also in the bigger houses. Through this, she very much worked her way up the ladder and made a name for herself, though Lord Baelish still very much in control.
• Really doesn't want any kind of fame tbh, just wants to play her music
• At the age of sixteen, she fell in love a with a guard from House Bolton. They were engaged and supposed to marry, but he died during Aegon's Conquest.
• Some more shit happened, it wasn't pretty.
• Lord Baelish also ✨mysteriously✨ died at the start of Aegon's Conquest, how sad.

K I N G S L A N D I N G
• Soon after Aegon's conquest started, Lethia ran into the path of the Targaryens. Rhaenys Targaryen, with her love for music, dancing and poetry, was almost immediately captivated by the Lethia and offered her a place at their court.
• Lethia has come a little bit more out of her shell since living at the Targaryen court, but is still very distrustful.
• She is completely loyal to the Targeryens, especially Rhaenys Targaryen.
• Lethia has some documents from her father (that are very clear proof Lethia is his daughter).She guards these very closely guards, as she doesn't want to break the promise that she made to her mother.

W I T C H
• Mommy is a witch, so is Lethia. Zelarra let her practise with magic as soon as she could talk.
• Her mother has given her books about magic. Lethia protects these with her life. Though, for anyone else it would unclear what the contents are, as it is written in the old tongues. Though, as she spends a lot of time away from her mother, most of her magic works intuitively rather than from the books. Since the 'accident' with Lord Baelish (see below), she has spend more of her time on the magical books.
• She might have accidentally killed Lord Baelish with some shadow assassins. Or maybe she didn't? Lethia isn't sure whether she did it and it is driving her mental. She has recurring nightmares about this
• Lethia accidentally resurrected her cat. Prior to the resurrection, her cat was completely black, but now he is a mix of black and white.
• As she is not particularly trained in magic use and most of it is self taught, specifically healing magic and warding, shielding, and blessings, anything else takes up a lot from her energy. After the resurrection of her cat, she was unwell for an entire week.

Rituals and spells intended to bring good fortune, protection, and blessings to people, places, or objects can also be part of the magical practices in Asshai.

necromancy the practice of communicating with the dead, summoning spirits, or reanimating corpses.

LORD O F L I G H T
• Part of this is her belief in the prophecy of Azor Ahai. A hero, who will be reborn to lead the fight against darkness and save the world. Azor Ahai is part of the Lord of Light religion, also known as R'hllor, the Red God, the Heart of Fire, and the God of Flame and Shadow. The faith of R'hllor is dualistic, presenting a constant struggle between R'hllor, representing light, fire, and life, and the Great Other, a dark and malevolent god symbolizing darkness, cold, and death. The core belief is in the eternal battle between light and darkness, good and evil. Followers of R'hllor believe it is their duty to aid in the fight against the Great Other and its forces. The faith of R'hllor is widespread in Essos, but less prevalent in Westeros.
• She beliefs one of the Targaryens will be Azor Ahai.

• She speaks, reads and writes Asshai'i and High Valyrian, the common languages spoken in Asshai, but she strictly keeps this to herself.

Valerion is geboren op een koude ochtend op 17 november. Hij is geboren een maand na zijn nicht-halfzus Visenya, waardoor zij ouder dan hem is. Valerion is de zoon van koning Aegon I & zijn zus koningin Visenya. Hij is 22 jaar oud.

Valerion zijn draak is rond de 60 jaar oud. Het ei kwam hoogstwaarschijnlijk van Meraxes, de draak van zijn tante. Na jaren zonder ruiter werd de draak voor het eerst geclaimd door Valerion, die de vrouwelijke, sneeuwwite draak Spitfyre noemde. Spitfyre heeft helderblauwe ogen, net zoals Valerion, waardoor men zegt dat het stel voor elkaar gemaakt is. Spitfyre is rond de 55 lang, kleiner dan Vhagar (90m), Meraxes (60m) en Balerion (120m), maar groot genoeg om intimiderend te zijn. Er werd altijd gezegd dat Spitfyre gevaarlijk, gewelddadig en vijandig tegenover mensen was, omdat ze snel bijt, maar het blijkt dat ze gewoon heel speels is en nooit begreep waarom de mensen niet opstonden nadat ze doormidden waren gebeten. Valerion heeft een softspot als het op zijn draak aankomt, sinds Spitfyre de enige is die hem lijkt te begrijpen.

House Targaryen of King's Landing, known poetically as the House of the Dragon, is the royal house of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. House Targaryen conquered and unified the realm under the leadership of Aegon the Conqueror and his sister-queens Visenya and Rhaenys.

The Targaryens are of pureblood Valyrian descent. Their sigil is a three-headed red dragon on a black field, and their words are "Fire and Blood." House Targaryen ruled as the Kings of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, the Lords of the Seven Kingdoms, and the Great House of the crownlands for nearly three hundred years.

Valerion heeft veel bijnamen, zoals de gouden prins, de beste vrijgezel van Westeros en de drakentemmer (omdat hij deze ''boze draak'' temde, die niet zo kwaadaardig bleek te zijn). De meest bijzondere van de bijnamen is eigenlijk: de blauwogige prins. In tegenstelling tot zijn Targaryen-familieleden werd hij geboren met helderblauwe ogen als de lucht. Valerion staat bekend om zijn temperament, het feit dat zijn persoonlijkheid als een mijnenveld is. Als je op de verkeerde plek stapt, ontploft hij. Hij kan erg boos worden en daarbij alles breken wat op zijn pad komt, en er zijn maar een paar dingen die hem kunnen kalmeren. De eerste was zijn zus, die jarenlang de reden was dat hij zijn woede onder controle hield. Hij hield van haar als een zus, niet als een minnaar, en zij hield altijd zijn explosies tegen. Op het moment dat ze stierf, liep Valerion uit de hand tot het punt waarop de koning dreigde hem van zijn geboorterecht te ontdoen. De volgende is Spitfyre, met wie hij een speciale band heeft. Dit is de reden waarom hij de laatste tijd meer in de lucht is dan op de grond. Zijn woede is irrationeel, gewelddadig en Valerion kan die gewoon niet goed beheersen.

Maar ondanks deze uitbarstingen is hij menselijk, iets wat mensen altijd lijken te vergeten. Valerion heeft de moedige, machtsbeluste persoonlijkheid van zijn vader. Hij is een vechter, geen opgever, iemand die door kan gaan en nooit opgeeft, hoe moeilijk het ook kan worden. Zijn brein is een juweel, omdat het intelligent, slim en geniaal is. Hij weet dwars door mensen en hun façades heen te kijken, hij weet wanneer iemand acteert, omdat hij de prins is. Hij weet wanneer iemand hem probeert te misleiden en kijkt er dwars doorheen. Valerion is net als zijn vader: hij herkent loyaliteit, weet hoe hij zijn allianties moet kiezen, maar weet ook hoe hij zijn vijanden dichterbij moet houden en iedereen bang moet maken die hem probeert neer te halen. Hij is loyaal aan zijn huis en familie, vooral aan de mensen met wie hij is opgegroeid, maar begint zich nu los te maken van zijn ouders en hun plannen. Na de dood van zijn zus kijkt hij anders naar hen. Nog steeds aan hun kant vanwege het familiebloed, maar zijn zus was ook hun dochter die ze zonder pardon hebben neergehaald.

Valerion is creatief, charmant en kan met iedereen over alles praten. Hij is nog steeds de prins, iets wat hem trots, maar ook arrogant maakt. Aegon I had altijd gezegd dat hij zijn zussen gelijk zou behandelen, dus toen Rhaenys zwanger was, wilde koningin Visenya ook nog een kind krijgen. Aegon gaf dit aan haar, wat resulteerde in de geboorte van prinses Visenya en een paar maanden later prins Valerion. Waar de koning niet aan dacht was het feit dat er nu een jongen was geboren. Als Valerion met zijn oudere zus Elaena zou trouwen, zou dat niet eerlijk zijn tegenover Rhaenys. Als Valerion met Visenya zou trouwen, zou het niet eerlijk zijn tegenover Elaena, die de eerstgeborene is. Aegon I besloot toen dat hij geen erfgenaam zou kiezen, ze zouden alle drie de opleiding krijgen om ooit te regeren in de mogelijke verwachting dat ze met elkaar zouden trouwen.

Valerion werd opgevoed door zijn moeder op Dragonstone en werd na verloop van tijd bekend als de "Prince on Dragonstone". Hij ontving zijn eerste zwaard op driejarige leeftijd en begon meteen met zwaardvechten. Valerion werd getraind door ser Gawen Corbray, de master-at-arms van Drakensteen. Op achtjarige leeftijd werd hij schildknaap. Op twaalfjarige leeftijd was hij al jongens van vier en vijf jaar ouder dan hij aan het uitdagen op de binnenplaats van het kasteel, en op dertienjarige leeftijd versloeg hij al geharde ridders. Zijn moeder gaf hem haar Valyrian stalen zwaard, Dark Sister, als naamdagcadeau toen Valerion dertien werd.

Kort nadat Valerion dertien was geworden, besluit hij dat het tijd is om zelf een draak te claimen, aangezien de draak in zijn wiegje nooit is uitgekomen en zijn zussen hem ermee plagen. In plaats van in de Dragonpit te zoeken, gaat Valerion naar de grotten, want om het pesten te stoppen is slechts één draak goed genoeg. Spitfyre leefde in de grotten van Dragonstone, onder een actieve vulkaan. Voor deze draak, die tot die dag bekend stond als gevaarlijk, mensendodend en roekeloos, zong hij een slaapliedje in het High Valeryian, samen met de intense oog-in-oogverbinding. Toen hij voor het eerst op Spitfyre zat, schoot de draak meteen de grot uit en voor een korte tijd dacht Valerion dat hij zou gaan sterven, maar Spitfyre reed hem de nachtelijke hemel in. Spitfyre was speels, roekeloos en vloog eindeloos, maar er ontstond een band, aangezien Valerion de draak niet beval te stoppen. Valerion wist dat de draak met blauwe ogen voor hem bestemd was. Samen tot zijn dood.

Valerion verwierf bekendheid in een toernooi door drie ridders van de Koningsgarde te verslaan in het steekspel en vervolgens de wedstrijd te winnen. Hij werd op zestienjarige leeftijd door zijn vader, koning Aegon I, geridderd, waarmee hij destijds de jongste ridder in het rijk was. Hij won deze wedstrijden altijd en stond uiteindelijk bekend als een sterke vechter met veel gevechtsvaardigheden.

D E A T H O F E L A E N A

Een maand voor Elaena's achttiende verjaardag hoorde Valerion samen met haar het nieuws dat ze met elkaar zouden trouwen. Het was meteen duidelijk dat Elaena dat niet wilde, maar hun vader liet haar geen keus. De tijd verstreek, een week of twee, toen de vorige fluistermeester kennis kreeg van een mogelijk plan tegen de koning. Blijkbaar was Elaena van plan drakeneieren mee te nemen om ze aan de vijanden van de koning te verkopen, misschien om een rel te veroorzaken of misschien om een nieuwe oorlog te beginnen. Dit klonk allemaal vreemd en niet als het karakter van de prinses, maar het feit dat ze vluchtte leek voldoende bewijs van haar schuld en de koning had geen andere keus dan haar tegen te houden. Toen de maester het de koning vertelde, was Elaena weg. Ze was onmiddellijk vertrokken op haar draak Calixte in de hoop dat de storm zou voorkomen dat iemand achter haar aan zou gaan. Dit gebeurde niet, omdat de koning en koningin Visenya de prinses nog steeds de lucht in volgden. Niemand wist wat er in de lucht gebeurde, toen de wolken dikker werden, het onweer luider en de regen het zicht belemmerde, maar die dag viel een draak uit de lucht die later op de kust werd gevonden met beschadigde, gebroken vleugels en brandwonden. Zijn zus werd nooit gevonden. Calixte was een kleine draak, Elaena had die strijd nooit kunnen winnen.

Op het moment dat Valerion hiervan hoorde, huilde hij tegelijkertijd met Spitfyre tranen van woede, aangezien Calixte haar zus was (een ei dat uitkwam in Elaena's wieg, ook van Merexes). Vooral omdat hij wist dat de geruchten over verraad niet waar waren. Een week voor haar overlijden had Valerion een gesprek met haar waarin ze duidelijk maakte dat ze niet met hem wilde trouwen. De reden waarom ze wegging, had hij gezworen het nooit aan iemand te vertellen, en als hij het nu zou vertellen, zou niemand hem geloven. De mensen denken dat het een ongeluk was, alsof ze door de bliksem werd getroffen en viel. De familie denkt dat ze verraad heeft gepleegd tegen de koning, maar hij kent de waarheid.

Vanaf dat moment veranderde hij en begon hij steeds vaker de controle over zijn woede te verliezen, totdat de koning zelf hem verbood een maestorpositie aan het hof te krijgen. Hij is nu generaal in het leger en traint soldaten en in geval van oorlog zou hij de strijd leiden, maar de koning vertrouwt zijn woede niet volledig. Het is inmiddels bekend dat Valerion niet meer binnen de familie wil trouwen, maar nu is de vraag wie dan de erfgenaam zou worden? Het meisje dat het meest geschikt is om leiding te geven en de volgende in de rij zou zijn, of de prins met woedeproblemen?

D E T A I L S
• Cedrick was raised in a loving environment at Winterfell. Both his parents were really involved in his upbringing. The household staff was always treated with a lot of respect and therefore the maesters, tutors and healers felt like an extension of the family. House Stark values honor, loyalty and doing the respectable thing more than anything else, so Cedrick's father was around often to teach the young boys important lessons. Where his older brothers had seemingly no trouble with acting like respectable gentlemen, for Cedrick it did not come so easy. He often acted on his impulsive thoughts, which earned him the nickname "the wild wolf" from the vassal houses.
• Although his father did not agree with Cedrick's behavior and there often were consequences, Cedrick was the third Stark boy to be born. He was never meant to be the next Lord of Winterfell and King in the North. He therefore enjoyed more freedom than his older brothers.
• Cedrick was the favorite older brother of his younger siblings, as he did not overload them with the importance of the stories of the past or training or other valuable lessons. He actually had fun with them.
• When Aegon's conquest started, House Stark mobilized for war, but upon a demonstration of Aegon's superior forces at the field of fire where House Gardener was destroyed, King Torrhen Stark bent the knee to save his army from certain destruction. A lot of the vassal houses were furious with House Stark. None of them as angry as House Bolton.
• When House Stark was invited to Riverrun to prepare for the wedding of Brannon Stark and Kate Tully, they got attacked by House Bolton as revenge for surrendering without a fight. Torrhen, Brannon and Cregan were killed. Lyanne was heavily injured, but survived. Cedric was sent back earlier in the journey as he was, according to his father, too drunk and would put them all to shame. The other siblings were still at Winterfell and would only come out for the wedding itself.
• Suddenly Cedrick was Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North as he was next in line. He wanted to unleash hell upon House Bolton and needed revenge, but maester Luwin pleaded for caution and to wait for the right moment. House Bolton was and still is gaining support from more and more smaller houses and so House Stark needs more allies too. Luwin advised Cedrick to go to Court to find some.
• Cedrick is shaking off his wild wolf reputation, as he wants to honor his fathers legacy and make him and his late brothers proud. He regrets his past behaviour as he thinks he has failed them, since he was angrily sent away by his father and could not be there to help them fight against their enemy.

• Maester Luwin advised Cedrick to find powerful allies at Court through marriage. Cedrick is set upon finding a wife for his younger brother, a husband for his younger sister and maybe even a wife for himself. He would not marry his younger siblings off to just anybody tho. There are high standards.
• When he was younger Cedrick never trained a lot with swords. He had more passion and love for his bow and arrows. As he was never meant to be the next King in the North and Lord of Winterfell his family and teachers let him neglect the swords and focus on the bow and arrows, with which he is very skilled. He is alright with a sword, but definitely needs to pick up practice.
• He, just like the rest of House Stark, proudly holds on to the worship of the Old Gods.
• He is very distrustful of people from outside the North.
• Loved to jokingly sing at taverns. He sucks at it, but he always thought he was not that bad at all. The only reason he was never banned, was because he is a Stark.

Valhan was born in Braavos, to a famed courtesan and an unknown father - making him a bastard, and earning him the surname "Moon".
While in King's Landing, he has traded places with the higher born Sealord's son - Tamas, and will only answer to this name, succesfully posing as the lordling.

As most Braavosi men he is a skilled sword fighter, even having earned the title of Water Dancer throughout the years, and has risen through the ranks to become the Third Sword of Braavos; personal guard and sworn protector of the Sealord's son.

Above all, Valhan is loyal. Once he commits, whether it's to a job, a friend or a relationship; he does so wholeheartedly. He will fiercely protect that which he holds dear. However, this means he is also true to himself and will not stand for abuse or mistreatment. He will speak up for himself when he deems it necessary.
He is a warrior, tried and true and while he takes no joy from actual battles, he loves training - and the Water Dancing keeps him grounded and sane.
He's not the most talkative person. When he speaks, it's because he has something to say, or a really good joke to tell. He loves jokes. He might flirt on occasion, but doesn't overindulge.
Valhan is a man of determination. When he sets a goal he will reach it, not caring how much time or effort it will cost him. He won't take no for an answer and will put every skill he owns to use in order to turn a no into a yes.
Though he tries to keep his calm, and poker face in place - Valhan often finds himself losing his patience. He abhors stupidity and laziness, and is known to walk away from ignorant people before he allows himself to speak his mind about them.
He is brave, and doesn't shy away from challenge or hardship.

𝓛𝓸𝓸𝓴𝓼
Valhan has black, with a bluish undertone, curly hair. His brows are thick and unruly, making his icy blue eyes an even more prominent feature.
While Valhan's nose is somewhat hooked and bears memory of having been broken on multiple occasions, his lips are full and inviting.
Barely reaching 1.78 he is definitely not the tallest man in Essos, but he makes up for it in muscle mass, speed and flexibility.
Valhan has a warm, sun kissed skin tone.
He usually wears bright colors, when he's not in armour, but since his switch with Tamas he now wears the favoured midnight black, charcoal grey and purple robes of the Braavosi nobility.

Drimaena was known throughout Braavos, at only 14, for her heart stopping looks and mysterious wiles. She was so popular in demand that by the age of 16 she was able to buy her own barge, and three men had already died squabbling over her attentions. Noblemen came from far and wide to spend time with her and shower her with gifts and coin.
At the age of 18 she fell pregnant with her first, and only surviving, son; Valhan. Even though she knew exactly who his father is, she has been paid handsomely to keep her silence, and to this day she upholds her end of the bargain.
The boy was given the surname "Moon", as all Braavosi bastards.
Even though Drimaena adored her little gent, as she lovingly called him, she was never able to spend much time with him due to her line of work - leaving him to be raised by her servants. Of course they had their own jobs to do as well, which created the perfect opportunities for Valhan to leave the barge and roam Braavos by himself.
As a young boy he used to get himself into trouble here and there; stealing apples from inattentive vendors, irking the Red priests by interrupting them with purposefully idiotic questions and mocking them or sneaking on to ships until the crew chased him back off. He usually got away with it, because his mother paid off the lawmen when they'd caught him in the act and dragged him back to the barge.
At night he just snuck out again, to visit the Moon Pool and watch the Water Dancers as they practiced and dueled. As he grew older, he continued to observe them from the shadows and try to copy their moves with a stick or imaginary weapon when a stick couldn't be found.
When Valhan was sixteen years of age, he spotted one of the courtesans of a nearby barge being maltreated by her patron. He ran over and tried to verbally dissuade the man, but quickly found himself at the sharp end of a sword. His instincts took over, and grabbing the first makeshift weapon within reach - which happened to be an older patron's cane, he engaged in a duel. Soon a crowd had formed around them, watching the men hack at each other - but mostly looking at Valhan in awe as he dodged or blocked every blow and eventually disarmed the attacker with half the cane he had left at that point. They cheered, making Valhan feel very uncomfortable as he had only wanted to help and do the right thing.
Among the crowd, however, had been a couple of the Sealord's guardsmen that recognized Valhan's talent and immediately rushed to speak to Drimaena.
That very day Valhan became a bravos and started his official journey as a swordsman. He put his all into his trainings and lessons, grateful to finally be allowed to join the Water Dancers for real.
Ten years later, his fame within Bravos almost superseded that of his mother, be it for his sword skills and merciful attitude.
When the Sealord died and Syrion ascended to the title, Valhan wasn't quite ranked enough to become First Sword of Braavos. But as Syrion had need of someone to keep his son in check, a new function was created just for Valhan; he became the Third Sword of Braavos: personal guard and confidant to Tamas. His job also entails reporting to Syrion of his sons many escapades, but Valhan finds himself often forgetting to do so.
His charge might often drive him to the point of insanity but they have an undeniable connection and quite quickly formed and unbreakable alliance. Valhan saw Tamas' distress over his arranged marriage, and did not think to hesitate when Tamas asked him for a favour.
