Lily
Lily
I am disposed to trickeries of nature
I am no match for all thou hidden secrets
Nor for thou soul, so dark and contradicting.
When time speaks to you – thou persuasion
Shall carry me away
And I, with all my might, will not object.
By love and carelessness I will let thee:
Spread thou wings, and take me
For I am dead already.
Blossom fills my lungs no longer
Believe me,
For I'm no longer young nor beautiful.
Death has come upon me
Like a belated guest
And I will welcome him,
How heavy we shall journey on the way,
Until the ocean my shadow will reflect.
And those may-born flowers
They do not envy, nor do they speak.
I'm nature's muse, I'm Hades' lover.
When spring comes, He
Shall give me back.
