Dreams of Dragons

Dreams of dragons, fantasies of flames,
Admirable adventures, great gambles for games
She isn’t entitled to play.

Trapped in a tower, no more than a maid,
A life of lonely dreams, dreams of fate that fades,
Because she isn’t supposed to play.

How she longs to go,
How she dreams of home,
And how she wishes for the world.
Battles for better, cries of courage,
Places of pride, only seen at night
In her dreams.

She is so much more,
One day they’ll see.
There is so much left to do,
Left to stand up for.
There is so much she can be.
