I wrote you a message and put in a bottle.
Threw it in the ocean, took my place besides the fire.
Looked at the stars and imagined that the full moon was your face.
Do you even know I’m gone?
Every day, every night I will pray.
Dear God,
I’m begging, pleading, asking with all my heart.
Please let him or anyone else find me.
Bring me safe back home.
Let it rain so I have something to drink.
Let the sun shine so the berries grow.
Please don’t forget me, don’t give up on me yet.
Let him be safe and happy.
That’s all I’m asking for.
Amen.
