Once upon a time there were two girls,
Both too afraid to show others their feelings.
But then they found each other,
And thought they weren’t the same.
One girl was afraid of her feelings,
Afraid to get hurt, afraid to cry.
The other girl was afraid to be alone,
To found out that her worst nightmare was real.
Together they felt so good,
They talked for hours about themselves.
They listened to each other,
When no-one else did.
They cheered each other up,
When no-one else was there to hug them.
They kept distance,
Until the day they found out.
Their lives weren’t different anymore,
The girls felt the same.
When they were with others, they hide,
Their faces covered with an invisible mask.
No-one else asked them how they felt,
No-one would talk about their feelings.
But it was okay for the two girls,
They still had each other.
We still have.
