Hoi mensen!
Ik had een idee voor een (komisch) piraten RPG.
Het spreekt zich af in de zeventiende eeuw, in het schip van Edward England. (hij heeft echt bestaan en leek nogal op Jack Sparrow)
Mijn idee was dat je meerdere schepen naar een schat uit een legende laat zoeken.
De legende is simpel gezegd dat een schip met goud is gezonken wegens een aanval van sirenes, eb dat die schat nog steeds op de zeebodem zou liggen.
Nu heb ik geen idee of het wat is,m maar als er veel mensen het leuk vinden komt het rollentopic.

• • H I S T O R Y

De Cacace familie staat bekend als een puurbloed familie die rap naar rijkdom steeg in de vroege negentiende eeuw, schijnbaar zonder reden. Uiteraard bedriegt schijn. De familie had een deal gesloten met een organizatie die bekend staat als de Bloed Heksen, soms omschreven als een sekte, wie hen rijkdom aanreikte in ruil voor één kind van hun bloedlijn die zich bij de sekte zou voegen steeds.
De Bloed Heksen zijn, onder het oppervlak, niet zozeer een religieuze sekte. Het is een organizatie die onorthodoxe psychologische experimenten uitvoert. Dit is waar Rosemarie belandde sinds ze zo'n drie jaar oud was, toen haar jongere zusje geboren werd. Er werd een slot op haar magie geplaatst en ze groeide op in een landhuis in Ierland, waar de sekte's thuis was. Hier vonden allerlei vormen van misbruik plaats in de naam van experimentatie.
Rosemarie werd afwisselend naar een dreuzelschool gestuurd en opgesloten in volledige isolatie, of binnen gehouden voor andere redenen. Het is pas vrij recent dat ze ontsnapt is, toen ze een faerie in de tuinen tegenkwam en een gesprek met hen aanging. Deze faerie verwijderde het slot op Rosemarie's magie, en ze werd hierdoor opgepikt door het Ministerie na per ongeluk een explosie te hebben veroorzaakt wanneer de volwassenen haar een paniekaanval bezorgden. De Bloed Heksen werden opgepakt, en één van Rosemarie's soort-van-vrienden die ook tovenaar was, Andrew Laskar, overtuigde zijn ouders om Rosemarie te adopteren. Ze gaat nu voor haar eerste jaar (drie jaar te laat) naar Zweinstein.

Rosemarie staat bekend als iemand die zich in iedere sociale groep wel zou kunnen dringen, als ze wilde. Er was wat twijfel bij de ceremonie tussen Ravenclaw en Slytherin, maar uiteindelijk is ze in de laatste categorie geplaatst wegens haar cynische instelling.

Een van de eerste opvallende eigenschappen van Rosemarie zal zijn dat ze op de een of andere manier mensen aantrekt. Niet per se als een liefdesbelang of leider (hoewel ze als een van beide kan worden gezien), maar meer vanwege haar uitstekende intelligentie en manier met mensen. Ze is ongelooflijk charmant en sympathiek, zelfs als ze een paar randjes heeft die als eigenwijs of intimiderend kunnen worden aangezien. Ze wordt vaak gezien als een beetje onheilspellend, maar komt over als wijs (vooral voor haar leeftijd), en heeft veel kennis over vrijwel alles. Ze weet hoe ze haar gedrag moet aanpassen zodat mensen zich op hun gemak bij haar voelen en toch als gedenkwaardig en op de een of andere manier uniek overkomt. Het meisje heeft iets ondeugends over zich wat haar interessant maakt.
Helaas voor degenen die zichzelf dicht bij Rosemarie achten, is dit niet helemaal oprecht. Ze is een beetje complexer dan simpelweg 'charmante mysterieuze nerd' of 'fragiel briljant kind', waar ze meestal in wordt gesorteerd. Rosemarie is... Bitter. Bitter en kritisch en cynisch en kan achter hun rug om ongelooflijk gemeen zijn tegen mensen. Ze zal ervoor zorgen dat dit door niemand wordt ontdekt, en zorgt ervoor dat ze niet te veel informatie over zichzelf deelt, waarbij ze haar dek dicht bij haar borst houdt. Rosemarie is sluw en analytisch en nogal arrogant. Wat Rosemarie echter niet is, is georganiseerd - vaak tot verbazing van mensen. Ze kan tot op zekere hoogte strategisch zijn en valt vaak terug op routine, maar het feit dat ze niet gemakkelijk haar halve waarheden en leugens om bestwil verloochent, is meer uit gewoonte en omdat ze een eeuwige people-pleaser is dan omdat ze goed is haar plannen bij te houden. Ze improviseert het liefst en blijft flexibel, vaak verpletterende regels en richtlijnen naar eigen goeddunken. Rechtvaardigheid is belangrijk voor haar, maar haar mening is ook vaak genuanceerd, en ze speelt graag advocaat van de duivel in meer luchtige zaken, puur om het oneens te zijn met de massa. Gewoon of gemiddeld zijn is simpelweg niet goed genoeg voor haar.
Rosemarie vindt het erg leuk om nieuwe dingen te leren. Communicatie met mensen is erg belangrijk voor haar ondanks dat ze een beetje een kluizenaar en een eïnzelgänger is. Ze houdt niet van strikte verplichtingen, maar ze heeft wel intellectuele stimulatie nodig om zich niet te vervelen. Ze heeft meestal maar één hechte, zeer intense vriendschap tegelijk met iemand die ze gelijkwaardig acht.

Rosemarie comes off as both older and younger than she is - and this somewhat depends on who she's surrounded by. Around adults who she deems threatening, she comes off as quite young and quiet. With peers or adults whom she doesn't fear, she often appears to be extremely mature.

GENDER & SEXUALITY:

In all sincerity, Rosemarie has only concluded that she's "not quite a woman" yet. She's fine with she/her pronouns and feminine representation currently, but she's quite certain that she doesn't fully fit the gender binary. She has no words to describe this with. She doesn't feel sexually attracted to anybody, and tends to only develop romantic attraction when she's already very emotionally close to someone - but when she does, this isn't limited to one gender. She mostly finds people with minds similar to hers very attractive because she feels that they're the only ones who genuinely understand her.

Initially, Rosemarie expected that she would be sorted into Ravenclaw due to her liking for knowledge and learning things. It was a pretty close call during the ceremony, but where she believed to value intelligence, she then discovered would actually count as finesse or cunningness. So, Slytherin it was - which ties in with her knack for manipulation and her somewhat spiteful nature.

Lysander describes cherry wood as "inherently conflicting", even if it may not be exactly what it's known for, because it's related to both love and death. Rosemarie points out that the two don't have to conflict, but this never elicits a response. Cherry wood is known partially for it being pretty, and partially because it's so rare and lethal, especially in combination with dragon heartstring. Rosemarie's magic is, despite the harmless appearance of cherry wood, dangerous.

‘‘ I AM NOT NICE. ’’

One of the first outstanding traits of Rosemarie shall be that she draws people in, somehow. Not necessarily as a love interest or leader (though she can be perceived as either), but more so due to her outstanding intelligence and way with people. She's incredibly charming and likable even if she has some edges that could be mistaken as cocky or intimidating. She's often seen as somewhat ominous, but comes off as wise (especially for her age), and has a lot of knowledge about pretty much everything. She knows how to adjust her behavior so that people are comfortable with her and nonetheless comes off as memorable, as in some way unique. The girl has something mischievous over her that makes her interesting.
Unfortunately for those who deem themselves close to Rosemarie, this is not entirely sincere. She's a bit more complex than simply "charming mysterious nerd", or "fragile brilliant child", which are the boxes she's usually sorted into. Rosemarie is... Bitter. Bitter and critical and cynical and can be incredibly mean to people behind their backs. She'll make sure that such won't be discovered by anyone, and makes sure not to share too much information about herself, keeping her deck close to her chest. Rosemarie is cunning and analytical and rather arrogant. What Rosemarie however is not, is organized - often to the surprise of people. She can be strategic to some extent and often falls back on routine, but the fact that she doesn't slip up on her half truths and white lies easily is more out of habit and because she is a perpetual people pleaser than because she is good at keeping up with her plans. She prefers to improvise and stay flexible, often shattering rules and guidelines as she sees fit. Justice is important to her, but her view is also often nuanced, and she enjoys playing the devil's advocate on more lighthearted matters purely for the sake of disagreeing with the masses. Being ordinary or average simply doesn't do for her.
Rosemarie really enjoys learning new things. Communication with people is very important to her despite her being a bit of a hermit and an eïnzelgänger. She doesn't like strict commitments but she does need intellectual stimulation in order not to get bored. She usually only has one close, very intense friendship at a time with someone she deems equal to her.

PAST:

Rosemarie was born in the Cacace family, a well-known wizard family that tends to appear and disappear every now and then. The Cacace family is also intimately connected to a cult that calls themselves the Blood Witches, who are typically believed to be no more than an urban legend made up to explain the many disappearances that happen in Ireland (where they tend to stay). The Blood Witches, to put it shallowly, worship the Celtic Fae and brainwash children into doing the same. Under the surface, they carry out extremely unorthodox psychological experiments.
Rosemarie was raised in that cult as the only one of her siblings due to her specific responses to these experiments. Her younger sister, Penelope, was raised in a different home with their birth parents.
Rosemarie was raised with a lock on her magic, both making her defenseless against any torture or abuse she might be exposed to, and hiding her (and the rest of the cult) from the Ministry. The cult largely posed as muggles, and successfully so, to the point that the majority of the war against He Who Must Not Be Named completely went over all of their heads. Rosemarie occasionally went to a muggle school and had some glimpses of a normal life, while simultaneously being severely and purposefully abused at home (and often locked up for months). It was only when Rosemarie bumped into a faerie in their garden that her life drastically changed. She told this faerie that the Blood Witches weren't actually worshiping them, and that they only used it as a front for their own selfish desires, and naturally, the faerie took offense to such behavior from the cult. They broke the lock on Rosemarie's magic. Because she never got to learn how to control her magic, this resulted in her exploding part of the manor when made upset by one of the adults, and thus alarming the Ministry. The cult got arrested and Rosemarie was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Horton. She was sent to Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the summer after her escape. ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀

APPEARANCE:

Rosemarie is a pretty girl with a fragile, yet mature and sometimes mischievous, look over her. She stands about 166 cm tall, 169 when wearing her favorite shoes with thicker soles. She has a skinny frame without any real curves or muscles, her shoulders being slightly broader than her hips. She is generally pale due to her tendency to stay inside, and is quick to collect eyebags due to her lack of sleep. These little imperfections are generally easily hidden because her skin contrasts with her dark brown hair (which she later dyes black). Her hair is thick and wavy and reaches to a bit below the collarbone. It's heavily layered and typically worn in braids with curtain bangs. She has large brown eyes that hold something childlike and innocent. She has a small nose and somewhat plump lips, making her similar to a doll or child. Whenever she's estimated as younger than she is, this has a lot to do with such.
Aside from her Hogwarts robes, Rosemarie typically wears frilly dresses. either floral, pastel, or white. The dresses she likes to wear somewhat border on early lolita fashion, and may fit the 90s more than the early 2000s, but she can pull it off quite well. She typically pairs these dresses with stockings or frilly socks and mary janes - usually with some thick soles so that she is a little bit taller than she'd otherwise be. Rosemarie enjoys wearing jewelry such as chokers, necklaces, and bracelets. Beldene at some point introduces her to black eye makeup, which she takes a liking to, making her appearance somewhat conflicting. She rather enjoys the dichotomy.
