The Start of a Story

Dreaming won't get you near they say,
Won't get you to your aim.
And smiling is not of use, they say,
For the world is tough and vain.

But what's of use and what's of need?
What will sweep us of our feet?
What's the world without a shine?
What's the point of waiting in line?

Cause a dream kept in a heart
Is not a curse, it is a start.
The start of a story appears that day,
And stopping our dreams would take it away.
