“In the year 2126, Conqueron was built, as you know. What people always forget, is that this city was built for us. It was made for the survival of mankind!” The professor repeated the same bit of information for the umpteenth time, information Aidan and his classmates already knew. And would never forget.
“Professor Raphael, how did they know mankind would face extinction if they didn’t provide shelter?” Yuno asked. She was one of Aidan’s potential brides, but she was definitely not the brightest of the bunch.
“Great question, miss Yuno. That’s because the founder of Conqueron was very intelligent! He foresaw mankind waging more wars and destroying the planet in their path. To prevent the eventual downfall and loss of everything we know, he built Conqueron. No one realised the official purpose of this city, because it was covered up. They claimed it was to be a hypermodern city in which humanity, nature and science would be in perfect harmony,” professor Raphael responded with great enthusiasm. Aidan yawned and started reading in his course book out of pure boredom. More information he had already read in the library at home when he was ten. This is torture, he thought to himself, waiting for the sweet release of a ringing bell.
“Brother Aidan, could you please pay attention? These lessons are of great importance for your development as a person as well as future leader of this empire.” The professor quickly glanced at Aidan while drawing the city lay-out on the digital whiteboard.
