Chapter three! <3

I felt a chair pushed in my stomach. Thorin stood up and turned around. My hands were resting on my belly, I straightened my head and looked in the eyes from Thorin Oakenshield. "Gandalf, one burglar was enough." he said while looking me straight in the eyes. "I'm not a burglar." I said a little bit harsh. "What are you doing here than?" he asked. "Maybe, it would be a good start if you first ask my name, before you start to involve with my business" Thorin looked a bit irritated. "What's your name?" he asked. "My name, Thorin Oakenshield is Harper Lilybite." I said with a smile. "What are you doing here?" he asked. "I'm on my own quest. I travelled through Middle-Earth and the Shire is my last stop. I walked past Mister Baggins house, but then I heard you're dwarf-friends singing a song. And the door was open, so I came in. Then I got hit by a plate." I said while pointing to Fili. "I lay on the ground with all your dwarves standing around me. Luckily Ori was so kind to offering me food." I said while smiling to Ori. "And then a few minutes later you came in. Right now it's pouring outside. So maybe if you are a little bit peaceful, you let me stay here until it stop raining so I can sleep with dry blankets on the field next to Mister Baggins house." Thorin looked at me without blinking. In the background I saw the dwarves staring at me and Fili and Kili were giggling. "You travelled through Middle-Earth?" he asked. I nodded. "I don't believe you." he said. "Why not?" I asked slightly irritated. "You're a girl. There are orks out there. Girls like you can't survive in Middle-Earth with all those orks." he explained. "You wish." I said with a smile. I took off my long brown coat that covered my legs and my stomach. "You see these scars?" I said while pointing to my arms, stomach and legs. "These are from orks." - "So you can fight?" - "Maybe." - "What's your weapon by choice?" - "Seriously?" - "Yes." - "Why would you know?" - "I want to know how you survived." - "You'll never know." He looked at me and saw a little bit anger in his eyes. "Maybe we should go back to the dragon and our quest." I heard Balin saying. Thorin looked at me straight in the eyes and I did the same thing without blinking. I knew he couldn't held it anymore so he turned around and took a seat on his chair.

Bofur started talking again about the dragon and explained to Bilbo how the dragon looked like. "I know what a dragon is." said Bilbo. I decided to go to another room, because it was still raining and I didn't care about those dwarves. Okay, that's not true. I really want to know someting more about that quest. There was a couch and a little fire. I took a seat and looked to the fireplace. A few minutes later I heard the dwarves fighting. "Well, that took long." I mumbled. I mean, being led by a person like Thorin Oakenshield. Only that would be a reason to stay here in the Shire. He's rude, a know-all and not polite at all. I heard Thorin's loud voice above all the others. 'If we have read these signs do you not think other will have read them too?" -"Uhm no?" I said in myself. Everyone wants to stay away from the dragon, no one cares about it anymore. "Rumors have begun to spread. The dragon, Smaug, has not be seen for 60 years. Some are looking to the east, taking the risk." Is he talking about me? Okay, I'm sorry that I looked to that mountain and dreamed about climbing it but I can tell you I'm not taking any risk. "Perhaps the vast wealth of our people now lies unprotected. Do we sit back while others claim what is rightfully ours? Or do we seize this chance to take back Erebor?" he kept on saying. The dwarves started to cheer and the only thing I could think was: are they stupid or something? "You forget that the front gate is sealed. There's no other way to go into the mountain." Balin interupped the cheering. Fortunately, one smart dwarf. "That's not true Balin." said Gandalf. I heard him talking about something that he got by a dwarf called Thrain. Maybe I should go back to see what that thing-from-Thrain- is. I stood up and heard the voice from Kili or was it Fili? "If there's a key, there must be a door." Kili or Fili said. I clapped in my hands. Another smart dwarf. "Harper darling why did you came in this Hobbit Hole?" I asked to myself. Suddenly Gandalf talked about ruins that are saying that there's a hidden - invisible - door in the mountain that you can open with that key. Gandalf, you should better shut your mouth. Do you want those dwarves to die? I walked back to the dwarves, thinking about what they were saying. "Sorry for interupting but did I understand this good? Are you going back to the mountain with a key, to open a hidden door that's invisible? I asked. "HIDDEN DOOR THAT'S INVISIBLE." I repeated. "If it is invisible, how are you thinking to open that door?" I asked. "The answer is hidden in this map, I don't have the skills to find it out. But there are others in Middle-earth who can." Gandalf said. "Okay, and what's next? You open the door, you go into the mountain and then?" I asked. "That's why we need a burglar." said Gandalf. "Oh, ofcourse! You're gonna steal the dragon. Am I right?" I said while looking to the dwarves. Thorin sighed heavily. "No, the burglar needs to steal the Arkenstone from the dragon." he said. "The Arkenstone?" I asked. And then I hitted me, just like the plate did a few hours ago. "The kings jewel? Are you Thorin Oakenshield? The son of Thraín, son of Thror. The king under the mountain?" I asked.
