A little background of the story:
Keavy, Liam's girlfriend, is a student at Oxford University. She is rich and lives in a villa-district of the city. There are only a few houses and not much traffic passes there. There is a bus stop, but it's some away from the houses. Louis also studies at Oxford University, so he gets in Oxford daily. Besides studying he works in a restaurant in the city, as he's not that rich at all. Liam himself is a fireman-in-the-making, he doesn't live in Oxford, instead he lives in a small town three quarters away from Oxford, so does Louis. Liam is away a lot because he likes to hang out with his best friends Louis, Zayn and Kim a lot. Louis and Liam are not dating each other. Louis has a girlfriend, too, Melly, although they haven't called it "official" yet.
