  i think he'd try to make her understand, make her see how he sees it - it's probably coming more from a place of protection than anything else
  i try to get into the brains of alt right when thinking about these things - which is hard and not fun, mind you - but i feel like hatred mostly comes from a place of power and fear. so evan would be a blood purist because he wants to protect the wizarding world and his family from muggles and muggle wars - and anything that threatens the safety of wizards is a threat, right? and because he's a rich, pureblood dude he can just focus all his energy on hating on muggles and muggle-borns because there is no other enemy for a priviliged guy like him

  i like that!
  hmm, i would say maybe their parents (or just the dad) sometime make offhand remarks on muggles and muggle-borns. maybe they're not fully dark wizards or support voldy, but they're also not as progressive as the potters?
  so evan would more easily get influenced to join the dark side, because he doesn't see blood purity as something so weird and wrong.
  maybe there's a right wing uncle or something who often goes on long anti-muggle rants during christmas etc., and evan started following that train of thought - and then maybe recently the uncle was like 'hey kid if you're interested, you should come to this rally thing with me' and thus evan became a nazi.
