Wat als Rita Pulpers toch gelijk had over Ariana Perkamentus? Wat als ze echt een snul was? Ariana word opgesloten in de kelder door haar moeder. Een keer in de week krijgt ze een beetje brood en water. Terwijl Desiderius en Albus naar Zweinstein gaan. Haar broers verzwijgen het feit dat hun zus mishandeld word en vertellen dat ze geestelijk labiel is, waardoor ze niet naar Zweinstein kan komen. Maar wat als de leugen uitkomt? Kan Araina ontsnappen naar de dreuzelwereld?

Dus, kan iemand me helpen met een tiel?
