Dearest, gentle reader,
The time has come for us to place our bets for the upcoming social season. The crop this year seems to be rather dazzling, but the age old question always remains: who, then, will shine the brightest? This year's marriage market will convene where we previously left off: Bridgerton House. As the first ball of the season will be hosted by none other than the honourable Lady Violet Bridgerton herself. Ambitious mama's rejoice, for still one of her elligable sons remains unmarried. Could it be true that mister Benedict Bridgerton has at last grown tired of his bachelor status and is finally looking to join the likes of the Ton's illustrious suitors? Whichever darling debutates shall try her hand at capturing the heart of this eccentric second son, this author wishes you the best of luck. For despite the many well-trained and bred hothouse flowers on display this year, this author must wonder if their shine will prove to be enough to hold this gentleman's attention. Because this author knows at least one thing to be true: diamonds are not the only gems that sparkle. Jaaaaaa, sinds afgelopen donderdag staan de eerste vier afleveringen van het nieuwe seizoen van Bridgerton op Netflix! Ik weet niet hoe het met jullie zit, maar ik had alleszins de beste intenties me te beperken tot één aflevering per week, en ben zodoende geëindigd met alle vier achter elkaar op één avond. Wie kijkt er nog meer? Wat viiiinden jullie ervan? In dit topic kunnen we het uitgebreid hebben over het plot, de personages, de kostuums en de makeup, zilveren ingénues en, natuurlijk, Lady Whistledown.
