I did not want to die

So they say I am their friend,
And they hug me and they smile.
But if I would die tonight,
They would not care, or just a while.

And if I killed myself tonight,
It wouldn’t occur that they
Caused it, no they don’t care
About what they did not say.

Just the words to tell me
That I am not alone.
Might have saved this girl,
So I might have overcome.

Maybe if someone had stayed
And asked me how I were,
I would not have died.
Cause in a way
I did not want to die for sure.
