Night watch & Day watch (Nacht wacht & dag wacht)

Wie heeft deze boeken gelezen? Ik ben net begonnen met nacht wacht en wauw, het is nu al een fantastisch boek.
Ik denk dat ik beide boeken deze week wel uit zal hebben.

Maar ze zijn ook verfilmd. En ik zal even iets citeren wat op de achterkant staat:
Van de boeken werden meer dan 2 miljoen exemplaren verkocht en de verfilming werd de best bezochte film aller tijden, waarbij blockbusters als de Harry Potter-films en de The Lord of the Rings-trilogie met groot verschil werden verslagen.

... Nu ben ik echt mega-nieuwsgierig naar die films.
Wie heeft ze al gezien? Zo niet, dan moet je anders maar even de trailers gaan kijken op YouTube.

Er is er nog een (Twilight Watch (sometimes translated Dusk Watch) (Russian: Sumerechniy Dozor) ) en Val is helemaal weg van die boeken. Hij leest ze in het Russisch. Ik vond de films heel leuk, maar ben nog niet aan de boeken begonnen.

Oh dat wist ik niet. Ik had deze 2 boeken bij de bieb zien staan dus ik dacht dat er maar 2 waren.

ShockTillYouDrop.com talked exclusively to Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov and asked if he would consider making a third film in the series that includes Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor) and Day Watch (Dnevnoi Dozor). Here's a clip:

"I don't know. It depends on what will happen," Bekmambetov told us in this exclusive interview when asked about his involvement with a third movie in the series. "I never read a script for 'Dusk Watch' and we'll see what will happen. I'm kind of done with these kinds of movies. Not action movies, but conspiracy theory/action/tragedies."

It is pretty much stale. The books' author (who was supposed to take part in script writing) tells no news about it in his blog... and given that he's quite thorough about his other projects, there's reason to believe that there won't be a third movie whatsoever. In short, Fox bought rights to *not* make it."

Aw dat is best wel balen als hij er dus echt niet zou komen.
Aangezien het leuker is wanneer je dan gewoon alle boeken verfilmd.

Op wikipedia staat dat het eerste boek het de hoogste opbrengst had van alle films in rusland, hoger dan the fellowship of the ring.

Maar vermoed dat lord of the rings of een van de harry potter films in de rest van de wereld meer geld opbrachten dan deze films.

Oh. Volgens wikipedia had Avatar de hoogste opbrengst ooit. Huh.

Night Watch is a fantasy novel by Russian writer Sergei Lukyanenko published in 1998. It was published in English in 2006.

The story revolves around a confrontation between two opposing supernatural groups (known as "Others"): the Night Watch, an organization dedicated to policing the actions of the Dark Others—and the Day Watch, which polices the actions of the Light Others.

The novel is first in a pentalogy that continues with Day Watch, Twilight Watch, Final Watch, and New Watch. The first story of the novel, Destiny, was made into a successful Russian film, Night Watch, which, although keeping the characters and many of the events of the original novel, alters some significant elements of the story.

Was het trouwens deze boeken waarin ze op zoek waren naar een golem in praag? Of was dat een ander? Ik weet wel dat er iets was met een jong jongetje.
