One Direction made an appearance on The Alan Titchmarsh Show on April 4, 2011 and Malik confirmed their debut single will be released in June 2011. The single has now been pushed back to being released in August in order to coincide with the launch of the new series of X Factor. While on the show, they also confirmed they are the new ambassadors for Pokémon. On 29 July 2011 the band made an appearance on Alan Carr: Chatty Man.

One Direction recently confirmed that they are currently working on beginning their own tour to the USA. They have also been hard at work on developing their debut album with X Factor coach Savan Kotecha.

Retailer Amazon.com listed the single as What Makes You Beautiful, to be released on 12 September but the link has since been removed.

Iedereen gaat altijd naar Amerika, maar de helft van Europa wordt overgeslagen. Ja dan komen ze in Frankrijk maar NL/BE/enz worden gewoon altijd keihard overgeslagen.

ja inderdaad, ik weet zeker dat er in heel nederland best wel veel fans zitten, dus ze moeten gewoon hier heen komen.
