After everything that happened, Courfeyrac finds himself at the head of Les Amis. They have lost their friends, are barely a shade of their former glory. Their captain, their friends, their lovers, so many people who are not with them anymore. But they need to survive, they need a leader - and so that is what Courfeyrac will be. Surviving the manhunts, the guards, the ever consuming grief. Courfeyrac will do what it takes to keep the others safe, even if it's breaking his own heart. He will not stop, and he will give his friends the future they deserve. And yet there's a bitter triumph in living, when you should be crashing. |
