Tree of life

A boy so young with a world to see
Why do they always take the best
Not able to become what he wanted to be
Already laid to rest

We coudn’t stay to guard your grave
So we planted a small yew
To keep you safe
To protect when we’re not able to

Now we visit after time has passed
And it stayed unmoved for years
It grew as you would, strong and vast
It grew on mourner’s tears

You became the guardian tree
And we plant you in our yard
To be able to grow free
No longer far apart
