“Harry?” vraag ik. “Hmm.” mompelt hij. “Tomorrow I can see the campaign for the first time, and I thought, well, do you want to come with me?” vraag ik. “Tomorrow? Let me think.. We have a concert that evening but I have the whole day time for myself so, yeah, why not? I really want to see the campaign, I’m sure you did it very well.” zegt Harry. Ik zucht opgelucht, gelukkig kan hij. In mijn eentje daar naar toe gaan.. Nee, niks voor mij. Straks word ik helemaal afgekraakt, omdat ik het toch verkeerd heb gedaan? Dan heb ik toch liever iemand erbij die verstand heeft van op de tv komen en al dat soort dingen. “On what time do we have to be there?” vraagt Harry. “About twelve o’clock. But it’s tomorrow so we don’t have to worry about that.” zeg ik.
“Ok, which movie do you want to see? This one, or this one?” vraagt Harry. We hebben besloten een film te kijken. Ook al is het pas 10 uur in de ochtend, en slaapt Faye nog. We hebben allebei zin om een film te kijken, dus waarom niet? Zelfs een horrorfilm is nu niet eng, want het is gewoon licht. ’s Avonds een horror film kijken is daar in tegen heel erg eng, daarom kijk ik nooit horror films. Ik kijk sowieso nooit films in m’n eentje, dat is gewoon zo saai. Dan heb je niemand om tegen aan te kruipen, of om tegen te praten onder de film. Gewoon weg saai. “Wait, close your eyes and say which hand you want. I have two hands, so you can choose right or left.” zegt Harry. Ik lach even om zijn zin. “No of course you have three hands Harry, you’re an alien.” mompel ik, maar Harry hoort het toch. “Close your eyes.” zeurt Harry. Ik zucht even en ik sluit mijn ogen. Ik denk even na, welke hand zal ik kiezen? Rechts. Ik kies altijd voor rechts, dus waarom nu niet?
“Your right hand.” zeg ik dus. “Open your eyes.” grinnikt Harry. Ik open mijn ogen, en in zijn rechterhand zit een horror film. “Are you afraid of scary movies?” grijnst hij. Ik schud mijn hoofd. “Only in the dark, but it’s 10 AM so it’s not dark. That means I’m not afraid, well, I hope I’m not afraid.” mompel ik er snel achteraan. “We’ll see.” zegt Harry. “I can’t help that you’re afraid of scary movies, but I’m not Hazza.” grijns ik. Harry kijkt me verwonderd aan. Ik kijk hem verbaasd aan, zei ik iets bijzonders of zo? “What?” vraag ik. “You said Hazza! That’s the first time you called me like that.” zegt hij blij. “Well HARRY, that’s so amazing.” zeg ik sarcastisch. “Argh, I’ll start the movie, wait a second.” zegt hij. Hij loop naar de tv en stopt de film erin. Eerst is er reclame, maar zoals altijd, spoel ik die door. Dan begint de film. Ik kruip automatisch dichter tegen Harry aan, omdat hij lekker warm is, en ik heb het koud. “What if Faye wake up?” vraagt Harry. “Then she can watch the movie with us, or she can go to Liam.” zeg ik simpel. Harry knikt even en we kijken verder.
Ik heb nu al spijt van dat ik rechts heb gekozen. Het blijkt een erge horrorfilm te zijn, met echt heel veel bloed en enge dingen. Het is dan wel licht, maar dat maakt voor nu even niet uit. “Harry, can we stop this movie? It’s kinda boring.” zeg ik als smoes. Harry kijkt me even onderzoekend aan, en ziet dan de angst in mijn ogen. “OOHH you’re afraid of this movie! I knew it! I’ve never seen a girl who’s not afraid of scary movies so you had to be afraid of this movie.” grijnst hij. “No, it’s not that I’m afraid of this movie, it’s just…. Argh, you’re right, I’m afraid of this movie.” geef ik dan uiteindelijk toe. “Awh that’s cute.” zegt Harry. “No.” mompel ik, terwijl ik rood word. De wonderen zijn de wereld nog niet uit, blijkt maar weer. “We can watch an other movie or we can go to the other boys?” stelt Harry voor. “That last one. Do you want Faye to come with us? Or should we let her sleep?” vraag ik. “Maybe you should wake her up, because Liam likes her, I think.” zegt Harry. “Ok, I’ll wake her up.” zeg ik, en ik loop naar onze slaapkamer.
