  Ok ja er is heel veel om te analyseren maar ik snapte de volledige verhaallijn niet helemaal, waarschijnlijk bij gebrek aan ondertiteling in mijn pirated versie
  
  Ja het was ook extreem verwarrend en ik had ook geen ondertiteling dus ik moet hem binnenkort nog eens kijken als het met ondertiteling kan (well, ik zeg ''binnenkort'', maar dat gaat waarschijnlijk nog wel even duren voor het op een nederlandse zender is lol), maar ik denk dat het ook niet de bedoeling is dat het 100% sense maakt want I mean, it's a drug-induced dream after all :') I know dat klinkt als een goedkoop excuus hetzij voor mofftiss om het onlogisch te maken, hetzij voor mij om het niet te snappen, maar ik denk het oprecht tbh & I'm fine with it :')) Ik denk serieus dat het hoofddoel van deze episode was: Hoeveel Subtext Kunnen We In 1 Aflevering Stoppen En Ermee Wegkomen??' Like. Een droom leent zich zo goed voor analyseren, want dat is tenslotte wat je altijd doet met dromen. Like mensen kunnen nu niet meer zeggen 'pfff you're just IMAGINING that subtext', want like, it's what the whole episode is about x) Als er een olifant op de grond valt en breekt is dat geen toeval, that's just sherlock's mind going 'listen we really need to talk about the elephant in the room ok??!!' X'D
  
  maar okay dus op het verhaal niveau van het verhaal ging deze aflevering er over dat Sherlock dus de dingen op de televisieschermen heeft laten gebeuren omdat hij wist dat hij weggevlogen zou worden om niet meer terug te keren????
  
  Dat...is een interessante gedachte and I would like to hear more about it, want dat was totaal niet wat ik eruit haalde x) Volgens mij was het verhaalniveau dat Sherlock in zijn mind palace probeerde uit te vissen hoe Moriarty weer terug kon zijn, AKA hoe hij zijn zelfmoord had gefaked; zodra hij doorhad dat 'miss me' een ding was wilde hij uitvogelen hoe het zat en gebruikte een case uit het verleden die hij zich opeens herinnerde als een vergelijkin,g zo van 'als ik uit kan vinden hoe ZIJ het gedaan heeft, dan weet ik misschien ook hoe MORIARTY het gedaan heeft' (of in ieder geval dat het überhaupt mogelijk is en we niet allemaal collectief gek geworden zijn.........). Ik weet niet precies of hij voor die tijd ook al in zijn mind palace zat en gewoon high on drugs bezig was te fantaseren over hem&john in victorian times en dat vervolgens in een case veranderde, OF dat het hele verhaal pas begon NADAT hij had gehoord dat Moriarty terug was.... maar ik geloof dat het sterk gesuggereerd werd dat hij al in z'n mind palace zat voor die tijd...? Maar daarvoor moet ik de aflevering even opnieuw kijken tbh. Feit is wel dat hij bezig was geweest John's blog te lezen voor het allemaal gebeurde (tenminste.....ik ga ervan uit dat zelfs als die scene waarin Mary dat zegt niet echt was, dat feit zelf wel waar is, since it makes a lot of sense), waardoor het erg logisch lijkt dat hij begon met z'n victorian fever dream puur omdat hij high aan het terugdenken was aan hun eerste ontmoeting en alles wat daarna kwam. Vrijwel alle belangrijke dingen die er in de droom gebeuren zijn ook op de een of andere manier terug te linken aan dingen die eerder in de serie gebeurd zijn so..... maar dat had je misschien al door x)
  
  Demonen over dood gaan?? : O That might also be a thing maar dat was niet wat ik bedoelde tbh x) Het is niet 100% duidelijk wat voor demonen Moriarty nou symboliseert, tru, (probably several....) maar ik dacht eigenlijk gewoon dat hij de verpersoonlijking is van Sherlock's angsten over dat hij 'zwak' is in some way or other (Moriarty beating him up right after Sherlock said he could fight him........lol), of misschien wel dat hij een beetje op Moriarty lijkt / raar is / gestoord is (remember, Moriarty kwam ook al eerder in Sherlock's mind palace voor, opgesloten en vastgeketend, alsof hij het duistere deel van Sherlock's geest is dat hij het liefst verborgen wil houden, en hier zegt hij dat hij 'het virus op zijn hard-drive' is). OOOOF misschien zelfs het gevoel dat zijn queer-zijn iets negatiefs is (Moriarty made a LOT of creepy advances on Sherlock in this one......like, YIKES). Like I said, I'll need to watch it again to figure this one out, maar dit is wat ik ervan meekreeg & wat ik geloof dat sommige tumblr users hebben gezegd :')
  
  ANYWAY I think I get what you're saying about dying - er was een hoop over dood en natuurlijk de Reichenbach falls, met als interessante verschil dat John hem hier redt........ Zoals mensen gezegd hebben, dit zou een realisatie van Sherlock kunnen zijn dat als hij John includeert in zijn plannen / avonturen / whatever en hem niet onderschat, ze samen alles aankunnen (in contrast met hoe hij hem niet includeerde bij de Fall omdat hij hem onderschat & it caused a lot of drama & heartbreak) EN OK ik moet nu de tafel dekken dus ik ga hier even mee stoppen, maar ik wil nog even zeggen - misschien ben ik wel zo op de subtext gefixeerd dat de surface-level tekst me helemaal ontgaat so you're probably onto something, maar ik wilde even praten over alle dingen that made me go 'aaaaarghhh' x)
