Wie kent dat liedje nou niet? Ik persoonlijk vind ik het echt geweldig, gewoon omdat zo vreselijk catchy is en, zover ik wist, nergens op sloeg.

Voor de mensen die het niet kennen:

Nou ja, ik heb dus de vertaling opgezocht en het is dus een soort van liefdes/versier-achtig liedje. Hoewel ik al op zoiets gokte door het stukje; "Eh, sexy lady".

Hierbij moet ik wel even toevoegen wat ze bedoelen met "Oppa is Gangnam Style." Oppa is een titel die in de Koreaanse samenleving word gebruikt om als meisje een iets oudere jongen aan te spreken (dus geen groot leeftijdsverschil anders gebruik je ahjusshi). Dit word gebruikt als er een relatie tussen het meisje en de jongen is of een hele sterke vriendschap. Jongens worden graag zo genoemd, vooral als ze het meisje aantrekkelijk vinden. Officieel betekent het "oudere broer", maar het vaak word het op die manier bedoeld.
Verder word er met "is Gangnam Style" bedoelde dat de zanger uit de rijke buurt Gangnam komt (ligt in Seoul). Hij bedoeld dus dat hij een rijk persoon is, iemand met "Gangnam Style".

Samen betekent het dus ongeveer iets als, "Hey, ik ben rijk". Dit om indruk te maken op een meisje. Iets in die richting. (~~Verbeter me als ik iets verkeer zeg in mijn uitleg~~)

Nouja, dat wilde ik dus eventjes met jullie delen. Had niks beters te doen dan dat op- en uitzoeken

Wat ik ook best wel grappig vind is dat veel kpoppers dit lied niet eens zó erg diggen, like "o, lmfao, leuke MV, maar meh niet vaker ofzo" en hier wordt het een hit :') En dat heel veel kpoppers zelf PSY niet eens kenden voor Gangnam Style :') Ik kende 'm sinds Right Now, z'n single hiervoor, lol. Niet dat dat echt veel eerder is..

Btw, ik ben met een paar vrienden van plan een Gangnam Style flashmob te houden omdat we sowieso een kpop flashmob zouden gaan houden... maar nu met Gangnam Style... iemand? :B
