Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner is a fictional character from the CBS crime drama series Criminal Minds, played by Thomas Gibson. The character is a Supervisory Special Agent within the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, and has appeared from the series' first episode, originally broadcast on September 22, 2005. Hotch begins the series married to his high school sweetheart Haley (Meredith Monroe). They have a son named Jack (Cade Owens), though they later divorce over Hotch's dedication to his job. Meredith Monroe's character Haley is later killed in season five by serial killer George Foyet.

Reid is a genius who graduated from a public high school at age twelve and went to Cal Tech (with Yale as his safety school) at thirteen where he earned three doctorates in Mathematics, Chemistry and Engineering by the age of twenty one. In addition he holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology and is currently working on another degree in Philosophy (4x08 "Masterpiece"). He has an IQ of 187, an eidetic memory, and can read 20,000 words per minute. It has also been stated that while in high school he suffered severe bullying at the hands of his classmates, including an incident when he was tricked into going to meet a girl he liked behind the school field house, where the entire football team was waiting for him. They stripped him naked and tied him to a goal post. When he freed himself (around midnight) he ran home to find his mother, Diana, having a schizophrenic episode. He was humiliated and said nothing until he told Morgan (3x16 "Elephant's Memory"). In his youth, his father left him and his mother, saying that he could no longer deal with the paranoid schizophrenia of Reid's mother, Diana when in reality he couldn't bear the stress of what his mother had witnessed. Reid grew up learning nearly everything he knows from books, with his mother often reading to him. Still, Reid knew the way his mother was living wasn't healthy. When he was eighteen, he had his mother placed in a mental institution, Bennington Sanitarium. She is still there, and Reid has stated that although he sends letters every day hoping to make up for not visiting her more often, he is afraid to visit her up until season four when we see him visit her to learn about his father. Reid is also worried about the fact that his mother's illness can be passed on genetically (He told Garcia); he once told Morgan that "I know what it's like to be afraid of your own mind". He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and is very adept at all card games and due to practicing magic in between college courses, he has a slight of hand and make small items quickly appear and disappear.

Spencer Reid is the youngest member of the B.A.U., and has yet to reach his thirtieth birthday. He has had to shoot three UnSub's, killing two during his assignment to the BAU. He has also been held hostage, drugged, and tortured at the hands of an UnSub with multiple personality disorder(2x15 "Revelations"). It is made clear that the most of the team are aware of Reid's drug addiction problem that he obtained after being drugged while he was held hostage, but he seems to have improved over the following episodes, and he apparently has been clean for ten months at the end of season three ("Elephant's Memory").

Jennifer 'JJ' Jareau (19 x uitgekomen)

JJ acts as the team's liaison with the media and local police agencies.[1] Though talented and helpful, she is not actually a profiler, having once declined Hotchner's suggestion to "take the classes" to qualify as one.E207 When JJ was 11 her sister committed suicide. JJ graduated from East Allegheny High School near Pittsburgh, PA, where she was the captain of the varsity soccer team her senior year and earned an athletic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh. She also at one point attended Georgetown.E415 In the same episode, JJ told Rossi that she decided to join the FBI after attending one of his book readings at the campus library during her senior year of college. She said she hadn't known what to do with her life until she listened to his reading, and had applied to the Academy the next fall. JJ mostly works out of the confines of the police stations and field offices the team visits, but does accompany the team on raids. (She is also known to be a crack shot, as when she shot and killed James Colby Baylor/Jason Clark Battle after he took hostages inside the BAU in 3x09, "Penelope".)
In 2x06, ("The Boogeyman") she reveals she is afraid of the woods, when Morgan & Reid ask her why she tells them a chilling story of her working as a camp cousellor and discovering the murdered body of her boss in his cabin. After telling the story she admits the story was false, and states she doesn't know why she has this fear. She also states in this episode that she has a niece who, at the time, is about 8 years old.
When she and Reid split up the night of Reid's abduction by Tobias Hankel, JJ walked into a dark barn and was attacked by several murderous dogs, which she shot and killed. After this it appears that she had a huge fear of dogs. This had a huge emotional impact on her, but has not come up since. She once went on a date with Reid to a Washington Redskins game, but little came of it romantically, although the two are very good friends as she asked him to be her son's godfather. In episode 3x17 ("In Heat") it was revealed that she was dating Detective William LaMontagne Jr., with whom the team had worked on a case in New Orleans.E218 Despite being together for over a year, J.J. kept the relationship a secret from the team (though at the end of the episode it is revealed that they apparently have known about the relationship for quite some time). After J.J. told Will that she was pregnant with his child,E318 he later asked her to marry him, and indicated that he was willing to give up his shield in order to help take care of the baby and allow her to continue to do her job, though he was worried about her safety and the safety of their child.E320 JJ later told Hotch she had found a temporary replacement for the duration of her maternity leave,E405 and soon after gave birth to a baby boy named Henry.E407 JJ and Will named Garcia and Reid as Henry's godparents. When JJ comes back from maternity leave she and Will had exchanged rings with Henry's birthstone, not making them officially engaged as the ring is on her right hand and there appears to be no ring on her left hand. After solving a murder case, that was passed off as suicides, JJ revealed that her sister had committed suicide when JJ was 11 years old.[2]
It has been announced that the character will not be appearing as a series regular on Season 6, due to CBS not renewing A.J. Cook's contract, but she will return for two episodes to wrap up her storyline.[3]

Alle zes agenten werden gedood, en hij werd zwaar bekritiseerd over de gebeurtenis. Gideon is ook goed op het schaakbord, hij verslaat Reid geregeld.
