I remember how we used to laugh
Because of a little dog playing in the sand.
That just went barking at the waves
Or wanted to fight with a blown away newspaper.
We just walked without saying anything
Long distances hand in hand
I looked back and saw my footprints
Next to yours
But now I walk on my own because you aren’t with me anymore
I bring my tears towards the sea
I still see you laying there,
So pale, so still
You closed your eyes
And never ever openend them again
Waves wash away your footpprints in the sand,
only mine stay.
I still remember your stories and jokes.
I remember every single minute together
You still live on in my heart, every single minute, every second
You still live, cause memories won’t go to waste.
You gave me everything I needed.
But now I walk on my own because you aren’t with me anymore
