Ulysses and the Sirens

De titel is de naam van een schilderij, gemaakt door John William Waterhouse. Voor bonuspunten bij Engels moest ik iets creatief maken dat bij het schilderij paste, dus het is een gedicht geworden...


Odysseus was dressed in white
and didn't leave his men's side.
He had a brave crew
because none of his men flew

when the darkness arrived
and the Sirens dived
on Odysseus mighty boat
and so crossed their road.

It didn't matter if they were brave,
the men were not save.
You don't live long
if you hear the sirens' song

The sirens were coming near
their meaning was very clear
The men covered their ears
when they faced their fears.

Finally they won the fight
and saw back the light.
