The Thin Line Between Loathing and Loyalty

He was tired of living a lie.
He knew the truth was in his gaze,
But no one would look him in the eye.
For the better, he told himself,
Cause they would push him far away.
And the words he would not say,
For he would lose the friends he had.
And nothing would ever be the same,
Even though it had always been like that.
He grieved his life would stay a lonely lie
Cause he was afraid to tell everyone
That they never knew him well.
And he would never want to defy
The thin line between loathing and loyalty.
