Dark Enough

Years ago there was a girl
Not in the slightest afraid to conquer the world
Then suddenly the girl grew up
Noticing life is harder than it ever seemed
Her dreams turned misty and her thoughts grew dark
To the point she despised anyone near her grasp
Even the sight of her own reflection
Made her wonder about her own purpose on this planet

One gloomy day the desperation was at it's highest
The girl gave up on her ideals
Took a blade and just like an artist
She carved her thoughts on her arms
Not wanting the world to be alarmed
When she finally decided it was enough
Pushed the blade down a little further
Than the world became as dark as her thoughts as misty as her dreams
As the girl fled the horrible scene
