  “Foei, wat een weer”, bromde de beer.
  “Ik blijf thuis”, piepte de muis.
  De vos zei: “Regen ? daar kan ik wel tegen !”
  “‘t Is om te huilen”, krasten de uilen.
  “En dan die wind”, zei het eekhoornskind.
  “‘t Is bar en slecht”, tikte de specht.”
  Maar de haas, die guit,
  ging doodgewoon uit !
  Hij nam een blad en legde dat,
  over zijn oren en werd niet nat !
