Damy wakes up. ‘and good morning!’ she says to no one. She goes to the kitchen and gets herself a cup of tea. She isn’t hungry yet. ‘What time is it?’ she looks at the clock. ‘SHIT. Overslept. Gosh. Of course, that needs to happen today!’ She quickly ran to the bathroom and takes a shower. She puts on some clothes, packs her bag and runs to her bike. ‘No time for breakfast. I’ll get something when I’m at school’ She cycles to school as fast as possible. Too late. Way too late. ‘Shit,’ Damy walks to her locker and throws her jacket in it.
‘So the grammar is clear? Oh, Misses Dawnen. What a pleasure. You thought, hey, lets come in the class for the last ten minutes? I didn’t think so. Leave. You can come back later.’ Damy sighs. ‘Great. Okay, I could have slow down…’ She walks to the auditorium to get a drink.
Damy hears something. She turns around. There! In the corner of the auditorium, the angel stands. ‘No way. HOW DID YOU FIND ME BITCH!’ Damy screams. The angel just stands there. Like he can’t hear a thing. Damy slowly walks up to him. ‘What do you want? Why did you kill my parents? WHY?!’ Tears are rolling down her cheeks. The angel stands there and does nothing. ‘Now you don’t dare, do you?!’ Damy slaps the Angel. It whispers; ‘You will regret your life. You will regret everything. You will regret yourself.’ That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less. ‘What do you mean?’ The angel is gone. Just like that. Gone.
The bell rings. Damy walks to the new class and sits quietly in the corner next to the window. It’s a warm day, so the windows are open. There he is again, he follows her. Wherever she goes, he’s there. ‘WHAT?!’ she screams out of the window. The angel just stands there. Again. Damy writes something down in her notebook:
‘You will regret your life. You will regret everything. You will regret yourself’
Damy sighs. He took over her. She can’t think of something else. He took over her life. In just one day.
‘Misses Dawnen? What did I just say?’ Damy wakes up. Did she fell asleep? ‘Huh? I’m sorry sir. I don’t know.’ Damy looks at her teacher. ‘Sorry sir, I fell asleep, apparently.’ The teacher walks up to her. ‘My name is Smith. So if you talk to me, you say; Sir Smith. Understood?’ Smith walks back to his desk and looks at Damy. ‘Once again, miss Dawnen.’ Damy sighs. ‘Sorry sit Smith. I don’t know what you said. I fell asleep.’ Smith stands up again, walks to Damy and says: ‘You got one minute to leave this classroom.’ He turns around and Damy picks her stuff. She walks out of class. Out of the school. To her bike. To freedom. ‘FUCK YOU ALL BITCHES!’ and she cycles away. Away, far away. To a place no one would find her. Where she can be alone.
When she arrives at the harbor, no one’s there, like usual. She sits down at the edge of it. Damy loves this place. She used to come here on a regular base. Until her parents died. It took her a while to find the way. A boat comes by. On the roof of it, stands he; the angel. Damy jumps up and start yelling at the captain. ‘There’s an angel on your roof! Stop!’ The captain can’t hear her. But the angel can, she knows. She turns around and the moment she’s with her face to the water he stands in front of her. Damy falls back while the angel is walking towards her. ‘Leave me alone! I didn’t do anything wrong, did I?! Bitch, let go of me!’ Damy turns around and runs away. The angel is faster. Before she could come to her bike she feels something in her shoulder. She lays her hand on her shoulder. When she takes it back there’s blood on it. Damy starts screaming. ‘WHAT THE HELL DID I DO TO YOU?!’ Her cheeks are getting wet of tears. ‘Please, forgive me. For whatever I’ve done. I will regret it. Leave me. Please!’ Damy jumps on her bike and cycles away as fast as she could. Don’t look back Damy. He’ll be right behind you. He will. Damy can’t stand it. She looks back. On the back of her bike sits the angel. His breath stinks and she screams. ‘NO. LEAVE ME, please!’ Damy stops right a way. But the angel stays seated. ‘Tell me what you want! Please!’ The angel looks had her. ‘You’ll be dead. I will kill you. You will die.’ Then he’s gone, again.
