When The Time Is Right
“I think you well know that I agree with her, God, bless her soul.” I quickly said, thinking of the not-so-long-ago deceased Elizabeth.
He nodded. “Bless her soul indeed. But you do know that if I do so, you will never be able to see him again.” I nodded, I have been expecting that argument to come up.
“I don’t care. As long as he lives, I’m happy. I’ll give you the other necklace, one like he gave me.” I said, as I touched the crystal heart on my neck, Edward’s name engraved in it in a beautiful curled writing. I took it out of my bag, hanging from my shoulder on a long cord, and pulled the necklace with my name on it out of it. I gave it to him.
“Promise me, that when the time is right, you will give it to him, and tell him every single thing.” Carlisle hesitated. I looked up at him, tears rolling down my face again.
