Chapter 25

“How’s Megan doing?” I asked.
“Oh, she’s fine. I talked to her about what you said. She was unsure for a moment, but they’re sending Jeff home in a few days. They’ll go back to their apartment to set things straight.” He smiled. I smiled back at him.
“I’m glad they’re doing okay.’’ I said.
“I’m glad your doing okay.” He said as he came over to me. He locked his arms around my waist and pulled me close. He wanted to kiss me but seemed unsure. I figured I’d make the move this time so I reached up and kissed him. He started kissing me back with eagerness as if he’d never let me go again and I was totally okay with it. I’d never get enough of this guy. We started shifting towards the bed and as I felt my body touching the edge of it, Jared gently layed me down. He started kissing me again and I moved up onto the bed. I felt unsure about what was about to happen and he sensed it. He stopped to look at me.
“Maybe later.” I said, feeling guilty about it.
“There’s no rush.” He said, smiling down at me. I sat up and kissed him one more time.
“I want to show you something.” he said after a while. He took my hand and led me to the piano. We sat down on the stool and he picked up a book that was on top of the piano. He opened it and showed me a piece of music with lyrics under it. I didn’t quite understand until I saw Written by: Jared Blake in the corner.
“Did you write this?” I asked, feeling slightly overwhelmed.
“It’s not much. But I hoped you’d sing it for me. I wrote it for you.” He said, looking down at the book. I could feel tears well up in my eyes as I examined it. There were guitar chords in it as well.
“It’s amazing you can write something like this. When do we start?” I said, smiling. He stood up and I watched him as he crossed the room to collect my guitar. He handed it to me and took his seat again.
“It’s only if you want to, don’t feel like you have to.” He said.
“Ofcourse I do.” I said. He smiled at me as he started to play the intro.
