File one Katarina’s journey to past and future

“Percy”: Kat shouts suddenly and I get up my hand moving towards Riptide. “What is something wrong?”. “Nothing we stopped and I wanted to ask if you wanted to switch and maybe eat something”. “Yeah sure we can switch”: I mumble still half asleep. “Nice oh and Annabeth call through this mist cloud. She is going to France because Athena needs her for some quest”. Mist could oh she means Iris message wait Athena needs Annabeth. While I was thinking Kat got up and pulled some food out of her backpack. She hands me half and sits down next to me. “Gods hardly need their kids and mostly when they do it’s not a good sign”: I think out loud “I have no idea Percy I am pretty new in this world. Wake me when we are in Grand Forks”: she yawns and eat her last piece of bread. I get up and sit down on the floor, my back against the wall so I can look out the window. “Yeah ofcours. Night Kat”: I say. “It will be fine Percy”: she say lies down and falls asleep. How comes she always knows what to say. She calmed me down when I found out I was a girl and now when Annabeth goes off alone on a quest to France. And then there is that weird women what should I ask her. After a while we stop again and not long after that, that weird old lady opens the door.

“We are in Grand Forks”: is what she says while she walks in. “Wake up your friend Percy”. I only nod and walk over to Katarina. I shake her on her shoulder “Wake up Kat we are here”. Immediately she opens her eye, “Great”: she mumbles and gets up. “Had a nice sleep and trip my friends”: says Lotus, I sit down next to Kat. “Yes madam and thanks again for taking us”: she says. “The Gods asked me to dear, now what are your questions”. “Eumh”, is the only thing I can say. “My mom will I ever meet her?”: asks Katarina. “She will be closer than you expected”: is Lotus her answer. “But that doesn’t answers anything it makes me have even more question”: shouts Kat up sad. “I can’t do more I am sorry child and you Percy”. “No I am good every prophecy I ever had I changed so don’t need to know my future“. “Wise answer son of the seas. Good luck on your journey. Your pegasi are waiting for you”: she says. Kat walks out with an angry look. “Thanks for the ride and sorry for Kat”. “It’s okay boy she expected to much and is just disappointed. She is just lost in the unknown”: Lotus says and walks also out the trailer. I walk out outside is Blackjack waiting for me. “Hey boss, you never guess what we got in that mini stable on wheels”. “Tell me later about it”. I walk towards Kat who is petting Brody her face away from me. “Kat”: I say. “I am fine Percy just hoping for some clarity but it’s clear now that only Artemis can give that to me”: she says and gets on Brody’s back, “We are really close to the friends of my dad”. “No flying big boy but walking okay”: she says to Brody who lets his wings back down again. “Is she serious Boss no flying?”: asks Blackjack. “She is boy I am sorry”: I say and get on his back.

We follow Kat through the streets, it’s already dark I think around 10 or so. Kat stops at something that looks like a bicker bar. “Is this the place?”: I ask. “Yep”. “Are you sure it’s safe?”: I ask and at that moment a guy flies through the window laughing. “No but safer that Greek monsters”: Kat says gives the pegasi both a suger cube and walks to the door. Well she has a point and I follow her quick. Kat throws the door open which gives a loud bang and everybody stares at us. “What are two precious little ladies doing in a place like this”: this one guy with a huge scare over his face says. “I am here for Timber”: is all that Kat says and everybody goes quiet. The teenage boy behind the bar looks up. “Katarina”: he shouts climbs over the desk and walks towards us. “Dad would be happy to see you”. “Tjeeze Danny you ‘ve grown”: Kat says with a smile. “Not everybody stays small forever”: he says and rubs his hand over her head. “And who is you pretty friend”: he asks looking at me. I growl, stupid people who keep calling me girl. “This is Perrie but I mostly call him Jackson after his last name”: she says. “Cool”: Danny says not noticing that Kat refers to me as him. “Well lets go upstairs dad would be happy to see you”: Danny says and starts walking. “Not so cranky Jackson you are a pretty girl although I rather have boy Percy back”: Kat whispers to me. I look at her surprised. “What do you want me to make really mean snarky comment because I can do that if you feel better than”. “No the first one was fine”: I whisper back. The staircase and the hall we walk through is filled with stuffed animal heads. “They hunt in their free time but they are actually lumberjacks”: Kat explains, I nod. “So Kat how did you end up here?”: Danny asks. “We are on a journey to Little Missouri Grassland Jackson has some friends there who take care of the nature that can’t be touched. And they asked if he euhm she would come for the summer. But our car broke down we got a lift from some gipsy’s to Grand Forks that’s how we ended up here”: Kat lies to him. “That’s funny dad leaves for Grassland tomorrow”. “Great maybe we can get a ride”: I say, Kat nods. Now I know that this was her plan all along.
