Her eyes were shut. Her breathing was constant. She was asleep.
Train Heartnet looked down at the girl. He couldn't just leave her here right? He sighed. What should I do? Train thought as he looked around. There was no one here, good. After another glance around he picked the girl up, carrying her like a princess. Suddenly Train's eyes widened as he heard something shift behind him. Before he could react something made of cold metal was placed against the back of his head.
‘Put her down.'
It was a male voice and slowly Train obeyed, placing the girl slowly on the ground.
'Who are you?' Train asked coldly.
'I do not see the need to tell you that,' the man replied as the woman slowly and sleepily woke up.
'Did it work?' the girl yawned. She had a cute voice, which mirrored her appearance perfectly. It was girly and childish, but somehow it sounded a bit like a cat while playing with a mouse, that is, if a cat could talk obviously.
'Yes, it did. Thank you for your hard work, Mia,' the man said, a grin around his mouth.
'It did?' Train said while a grin appeared on his face. His hand went slowly towards his gun holster around his leg.
'If you grab that gun, I'll kill her,' the man said with an evil smirk.
'What?!' the girl called Mia exclaimed, this wasn't their deal! 'Y-you won't! You won't do that, right Louis?!'
The lady panicked, what if he does shoot me?!
'Go ahead,' Train spoke coldly. 'I do not know this woman, and I don't care what happens with her.'
'Asshole,' the lady muttered. Train didn't react to the woman. The man, who Mia just called Louis, pointed his gun towards Mia.
'So I can shoot her?' He asked with a grin. 'She's in the way now anyway. It would spare me lots of trouble.'
Train clenched his teeth together. Louis prepared his gun and grinned towards Train. ‘Last chance.’
Slowly he started to pull the trigger.
‘Wait!’ Train yelled just in time. He couldn’t let a woman get killed (in front of him).
‘I’ll come with you if that is what you want.’
Louis grinned and pulled the trigger.
‘No!’ Train yelled but nothing happened. There was no bullet in there?
‘There are three bullets in here. So you’re lucky she isn’t dead. Come with me, but first hand over Hades,’ Louis said, holding out his hand for Train to put his beloved gun in.
Train grabbed his gun and threw it into Louis’ extended hand. Louis caught it and placed the weapon in a gun holster.
‘Come,’ he ordered. ‘You too Mia.’
The girl nodded and stood up. She followed Louis and Train quietly. They soon arrived at a building that looked like it it could fall apart any time. They walked inside. There was not much in the building, a couch, a cage and a table.
‘You,’ Louis said while facing Train. ‘In the cage. Mia, lock the cage when he’s in.’
Train obediently walked inside the cage and Mia locked it while looking at the ground. She said something but Train couldn’t quite catch what she said.
‘What?’ he softly asked.
‘Sorry,’ Mia whispered in reply, this time just loud enough for Train to hear.
‘Mia, come with me. I need you,’ Louis spoke in a voice that basically screamed ‘evil’, causing Mia to tremble.
‘Y-yes, master Louis,’ Mia said while walking towards him.
‘Let’s go in here. We will be back in, let’s say, three hours? Maybe more if I feel like it,’ Louis said with a filthy grin. Train looked at him with hatred written in his eyes.
‘Sick bastard,’ he muttered. Louis and Mia disappeared into a room next to this one, leaving Train alone with his thoughts. How am I going to escape and help Mia?, was his most common thought at the moment.
Almost four hours had passed by when Mia returned to the room with Train in it. In her hand she held a plate with food.
‘W-we have to be quick,’ she softly spoke as she reached Train, who looked at her utterly confused.
‘I’m going to let you escape,’ Mia explained shyly. Train looked surprised at the woman in front of him.
‘Thanks,’ He said with a toothy grin on his face. Mia just nodded in reply.
She placed the plate with food on the ground and opened the cage with the key.
‘Where is Louis?’ Train asked softly.
‘Asleep,’ Mia shortly replied, ‘Here.’
Mia held out Train’s gun Hades. Train’s eyes widened.
‘Thanks!’ he thanked the girl happily, but softly.
‘Go,’ Mia nodded. Train nodded back and softly ran towards the front door. Just before running out he turned towards Mia.
‘Come,’ he motioned and smiled softly when he saw Mia’s shocked face. ‘Come with me.’
Mia shook her head. ‘I can’t...’
‘You’re either coming with me of your own will or I’m forcing you,’ Train said plainly, refusing to leave the girl behind.
Mia bit her lip but then ran towards and passed Train, out through the front door. Train smiled and ran after her. They didn’t stop running until they arrived at the town where Train was staying with his friends. Train guided Mia to his hotel room and walked inside. A green haired man was sitting quietly waiting on a chair.
‘Train... Where have you been? I was about to go look for you. And more importantly, who is this beautiful young lady?’ the man spoke, causing Train to roll his eyes.
‘I just got caught in some trouble, Sven. And this beautiful young lady is Mia,’ Train explained roughly.
‘N-nice to meet you,’ Mia said while a blush covered her cheeks.
‘I’ll explain everything tomorrow, but first, we gotta go,’ Train grinned.
‘What? Again?! Train...’ Sven groaned in annoyance.
‘Sorry,’ Train scratched the back of his head sheepishly. ‘Come.’
He smiled at Mia as he led her to his room. Mia simply nodded and followed.
‘Sit down anywhere you want,’ Train said friendly. Kaida sat down awkwardly on his bed and Train sat down next to her.
‘Train,’ Mia started hesitantly.
‘Hm?’ Train replied while turning to face Mia, just in time to see her smile at him.
‘Thank you,’ she said before placing a soft and short kiss on his lips. It was the only way she knew how to thank him properly.
Train had flinched at the movement, clearly not expecting that as a “thank you”- gift.
‘S-sorry,’ Mia immediately apologized, thinking she did something wrong. Train, however, smiled and gently placed two fingers under her chin, forcing Mia to look at him. Then he leaned in closer and teasingly stopped just before their lips touched.
‘I just didn’t see it coming,’ he whispered before kissing Mia. This kiss was still just as soft, but significantly longer than the first one. Mia kissed him back, making the kiss just a little stronger before Train pulled back.
‘Come with us,’ Train whispered almost beggingly while his arms still held Mia close.
Mia giggled softly.
‘I’d love to,’ Mia whispered back.
Their lips collided once more as if to seal the deal.
