File one Katarina’s journey to past and future

I stop with reading and look at Annabeth who smiles at me. Chiron looks to think really hard and Percy has a bit of an empty look in his eyes. “Yes that’s possible”: mumbles Chiron. “What?”: we ask all three at the same time. ”You wear the headband from Artemis as a necklace, it’s been with Artemis since forever and she gave it to you which gave you part of her powers. That’s what made you demigod like”: explains Chiron. “Okay so this thing gave me weird powers”, I roll my eyes and signs, “Let’s roll with it. Now where can I find this Oracle”. “You accept this quest and all of the consequences?”: asks Chiron. “Yes bring it on”: I say and Chiron nods, “Follow me”. I follow him and he points me towards a staircase. “Second door on your left just knock Rachel will let you in, ask her something and she will answer, remember that answer well”. “Okay”: I say and walk up the stairs. The second door left is wildly painted with a forest landscape with satyrs and nymphs running around. I knock, the music on the other side stops and the door opens.

A slim girl with red hair opens the door. “Hey I am Rachel”: she says and sticks her hand out to me, its covered in paint stains but I shake it. “I am Katarina but you can call me Kat”. “Come in Chiron send you didn’t he, you’re going on a quest”. “Something like that I am a bit new to all this”: I admit. “Take a seat, want some tea?”. “Thanks you are the first one who asks me something normal”. “When did you came to camp?”. “Today after school so around four”. “Oh you’re the girl that came wounded down the hill”. “Yes that’s me”. “Here you go”: she says and hands me a cup of tea, “Thanks”. “Take a look around and think about what you will ask me about what your about to do”: she says, “I will go change in something clean”. Then I see she wears a once white short now full of paint an oversized band shirt and ripped jeans which are also covered in paint, even her face has paint stains. With the cup tea in my hand I look around the room. The walls are sprayed with Greek warriors and monster scenes, there is one large window you can see the whole camp from and on the back of the door is also a forest landscape. Further is everything covered with paint surplice in one corner stands a stand with a half-finished painting. Somehow I know that it is becoming a painting from Artemis and her Huntress. This girl is the Oracle from Apollo and while I stare at the painting I suddenly know what to ask her. “Sorry you had to wait for me”: says Rachel when she walks in again, this time dressed in jeans with drawings on them and that orange camp half-blood shirt. “Was no problem the waiting, you have a real talent by the way”: I say and point at the painting. “Thanks”: she says and blushes lightly. Meanwhile I finished my tea and put the cup on an empty table.

“Well I am the spirit of Delphi, speaker of the prophecies of Phoebus Apollo, slayer of the mighty Python. Approach seeker, and ask”: she says the longer she talked the more creepy it sounds. ”What has Artemis to do with my future?”: I ask her. “Water and earth should go together. They shall pass high skies and stormy weather. Water will go through a terrible change and Earth will find out what faith as arranged”. “What does that mean?”: I ask but Rachel blinks and the looks like herself again, “Was it the answer you hoped for?”. “It was very cryptic but I will get there. Do you have pen and paper I can borrow”. “Yeah sure here you go”: she says and gives me pen and paper. Quick I write it down and put the paper in my pocket. “Thanks Rachel I will tell you about my trip when I come back”. “Nobody ever did that except Percy, that would be nice”, she opens the door for me. “Bye it was nice to meet you”: she says. “Yeah same”: I say and walk out the room down the stairs and back in the room with the pingpongtable. “And?”: asks Annabeth when I walk inside. “It looks like I am going on a trip”: I say with my eyes on Percy. “Why do you look at me?”: he asks. “You’re coming with me water”: I say and put the paper on the table. Annabeth takes it, reads it and looks up. “She is right Percy this is defiantly about you but I am not happy about it”. “What why, can I see”. Annabeth gives Percy the paper and immediately he squeezes his eyes to read it. “You wrote this?”: he asks me, “Jep”, “But it is English”: he mumbles. “I am not dyslexic”: I sign and take the paper out of his hands and read it out loud. “It’s clear your water and I am earth. The second line means I guess that we have to fly. Maybe we find where the Huntress are and where I will find what faith has planned for me. The only thing I can’t figure out is that terrible change”. “We can’t fly that Zeus his domain he will kill me”: says Percy horrified, “And I don’t like the whole terrible change thing”: he says. “You can come if you want you don’t have to only because the prophecy tells you”. “That’s the whole point Katarina, if the prophecy tells that this is going to happen than it will happen like that”: says Chiron. Percy sighs: ”Okay I am in but we fly on pegasi and not in a plane”. “Fine by me we leave at sunset now goodnight all”: I say and walk to the door. “Katarina you have to move to the Artemis cabin”: says Chiron. “Okay I don’t have nothing to move anyway”: I say and walk to my new cabin. The inside is just as silver as the outside. I take of my shoes and pants also take of the tape. I put my bow and quiver on an empty bed and lie down in another one. Within no time I fall in asleep.
