File one Katarina’s journey to past and future

Together Annabeth and I run with the Ares flag over the border, passed our first defence, who starts cheering, while we walk further to our second defence, the flag guards. The scene that played on the open space is clear to see. Clarisse is pinned to the ground, another Ares camper is spiked to the tree with the flag and wounded lie on the ground, where the Apollo campers walk towards to take care of their wounds. Katarina is standing between Clarisse and the tree still with spanned bow. Then out of nowhere a silver stag jumps above her head and glows vague pink silver, the sign of Artemis. “That’s impossible”: I whisper and Katarina seems to understand that we look at her and looks above her head. Chiron appears next to me and looks just as surprised as everybody here. “I was afraid of this”: mumbles he but gets over screamed by Clarisse, “Can somebody free me”. Katarina stops staring at the already disappeared stag and looks at Clarisse. “Why can’t she break free, she is only stuck with arrows”: says a Apollo camper next to me, I shrug and keep my eyes on Katarina. She frees the Ares boy and Clarisse, who immediately takes of angry with the other Ares campers following her. Somehow it feels good that she isn’t mad at me for once. Chiron sends everybody back to their cabins except Annabeth, Grover, Juniper and me. While he is talking Katarina turns around towards to the tree behind her. When she turns back I see how she puts an arrow in the quiver. Where did that arrow came from. “Told you she smelled like Wilderness”: says Grover to me, “Oh my Gods Kat that was nerve wrecking”: says Juniper and runs crying towards Katarina. “I thought Artemis didn’t had kids because of her internal maidenhood”: says Katarina confused and broken. “Katarina let’s go to the big house there is something we should tell you”: says Chiron while he looks at me and I nod. Grover and Annabeth share a worried look, Juniper stops with crying and let’s go of Katarina. Juniper walks back to Grover and they take off into the woods. Annabeth takes my hand and together we walk after Chiron to the big house. I look a few times back to see if Katarina is still following us, which she does. While we walk passed the cabins everybody stares at Katarina like they stared at me when Poseidon claimed me.

I look back again and see that Katarina stopped in front of the now glowing Artemis cabin. I stop walking which makes Annabeth stop too and she turns to me, I nod at Katarina. “This situation is so weird”: I mumble. “You mean the whole you dream of this girl, than she shows up and turns out to be a daughter of a virgin goddess and the arrow that came out of nowhere and almost killed her”: says Annabeth sarcastically. “Wise Girl you know what I mean”. “I was teasing you Seaweed Brain. I will go talk to her”: she says and walks towards Katarina. I turn back to Chiron and follow him further to the big house. I sit down at the pingpongtable we use for meetings. Chiron walks nervous up and down the room and when I want to ask him what’s wrong Katarina and Annabeth come laughing in to the room. Katarina’s eyes are red from crying. “Take a seat”: says Chiron. “Before you say anything I have to admit something”: begins Katarina, Annabeth nods, “I don’t think I am a demigod or Huntress and I ‘ve been having this weird quest dreams where sometimes Percy appeared in”. “Well this changes everything”: mumbles Chiron. “Not done yet, the arrow that almost hit me it’s from the Huntress of Artemis, it’s explains my past a bit”: she goes on. “Your past?”: I ask then. “Yes Dean is not my real dad he just found me on his doorstep sixteen years ago the only thing I had on me, was this necklace and the blanket I was wrapped in. After being a half year in police custody Dean adopted me for real because nobody came to pick me up. This arrow has a letter and the letter tells me how I got on Dean his doorstep”. “Katarina can you read us that letter?”: asks Chiron, she nods and rolls the letter from the arrow. “Katarina, Lady Artemis saved thee from the monster that is men. Your father dumped you in the wood don’t worry Lady Artemis already avenged thee. I, Zoë Nightshade have been assigned to keep an eye on thee. It’s seems that thee developed Huntress trademark maybe because your dad an Apollo’s son or the more likely option it’s the headband. Artemis gave to thee to calm thee in our camp. She had the band so long that she thinks it absorbed a small part of power”, “And that’s where this letter stops”: she says. “The rest Kat”: says Annabeth. “”Yes ofcours”, “Katarina Zoë died and Artemis past the assignment on to me because you have this letter it means you are in camp half blood. Trust nobody except Chiron, Annabeth or Percy they can help you. Go to the Oracle and come find us, the Huntress. Thalia”: end Katarina. “Yes that’s possible”: mumbles Chiron. “What?”: we ask all three at the same time. ”You wear the headband from Artemis as a necklace, it’s been with Artemis since forever and she gave it to you what give you a part of her powers. That’s what made you demigod like”: explains Chiron. “Okay so this thing gave me weird powers”, Katarina rolls her eyes and signs, “Let’s roll with it. Now where can I find this Oracle”. “You accept this quest and all of the consequences?”: asks Chiron. “Yes bring it on”: says Katarina and Chiron points her to Rachels room while Annabeth and I stay behind and wait.
