I told her it was okay, and asked her if she wanted to talk. She said yes.

We talked for half an hour about what was bothering her so much, her parents got divorced, she has a bad boyfriend and is addicted to drugs, when she started to run. She did not run home, she ran to the beautiful lights of the cars. I ran after her, but I am not a good runner, so I could not catch her when she jumped. She jumped.
I stood there, completely frozen, for a couple minutes and then started to walk home, I made sure I turned off my superpower first.

I think I need to practise on my superpowers more.

Besides, did I tell you how I got this super special power? I did not? well, this is how I got it;
We had this super exciting assignment for English class where you could pick your own superpower and write an essay about it. Everyone chose things like flying, being super-fast, tall, strong etcetera and I went with this one, mindreading. I chose it because I wanted to help people in situations like today. I did not really think it would be this difficult. Our teacher came with a magical rare product which could make our chosen superpowers real. I did not expect that he would give one of those ten exemplars, but he did.
