It was a day in July, the 7th I think. I met this amazing man. Well actually he isn’t really a man.
He is an alien, a Time Lord. He looks just like a man but he has one thing different. Well... he has one thing double. He had two hearts.
He comes from a planet named Gallifrey, but years and years ago his planet was destroyed.
It was a time of war. THE time war. His people fought a race named ‘the Daleks’. The time lords were all destroyed, but they took the Daleks with them. He is the only survivor. He is The Doctor.

The Doctor has a spaceship, called the TARDIS. It stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space.
This TARDIS looks like an old blue police box, but it is so much more than that. First things first, it’s bigger on the inside. The inside of this TARDIS is massive. Of course it can do more. It can travel through time and space. I’ve been on a couple of trips with The Doctor and it’s impressive how he does it.

This story takes place a little while after I met this man. He decided that he wanted to take me to another planet. We travelled there with the TARDIS and when I got out is was just amazing. It was so beautiful. The sky was pure blue and you could see multiple other planets in it. The Grass was dark red and smelled like apples.
“What do you think?” he asked. “Do you like it?”
“I love it!” I said.
We strolled through little streets and finally reached a small town. The town looked old and was totally abandoned. The Doctor got a little suspicious.
“There should be hundreds of people walking down these streets.” He said. “Something’s wrong here.”
I felt a little weird too. The town reminded me of one of those Wild West movies, where the main character walks into an old town and there’s no one around. Then all of the sudden the bad guy jumps out of nowhere and steals the show. A chill went through my spine.

I looked around and all of the sudden I saw something. I asked the Doctor what is was. He didn’t know either. It looked a bit like a statue. I thought it was weird, a statue in an abandoned town, but I didn’t paid much attention to it. We walked further and discovered we really were the only living things in the town.
“It’s like they all vanished.” The Doctor said. “I don’t get it.”
I nodded and we went into a building. I stayed downstairs while the Doctor went up.
I noticed something in the corner of the room. It was an angel statue. It had its hands over its eyes, like it was crying. I turned around to walk out of the room but I felt something. You know that feeling you get when someone is staring directly at you? That’s the feeling I got so I turned back towards the statue. It had moved and stood directly next to me. It had taken its hands off its eyes and I could see sharp teeth coming out of its mouth. I immediately froze but I couldn’t look away. I thought it was going to kill me but it didn’t move.
“DOCTOR!” I screamed. “Come quick! It’s going to take me!”
The doctor ran into the room and started to freak out when he saw the statue.
“Don’t stop looking at it!” he said. “Don’t blink, blink and you're dead! Don’t. Blink.”
Of course I got scared when he freaked out like that.
“What is it?” I asked.
“It’s a weeping angel. One of the most dangerous aliens in the galaxy.”
“You mean this thing is an alien?”
“Yes.” He said. “It’s a weeping angel, also called the lonely assassins.” “When you look at them, they get quantum-locked, it means they can’t move and turn to stone.”
“So as long as I look at it im safe?” I asked.
“Yes, but don’t blink, these angels are fast, really fast and they will get you.”
I thought about the things that could happen if I looked away for just one second. Would it kill me? Would it take me away? I really had no idea, so I asked the Doctor.
“It sends you back in time.” The doctor said. “You will have to live your live in the past.”
“Why was it covering its eyes when I saw it for the first time?”
“So it wouldn’t accidentally look at another angel.” “If it looks at another angel, and that angel looks back, they get quantum-locked forever.”
“So it has never looked at someone without turning to stone?” I asked.
“No, it’s their defense meganism.” “You can’t kill a stone, but a stone can’t kill you either.” “Their defense is their downfall.”
I started to pity the angel statue in front of me looking all scary. It was a real living thing, but it had never been hugged or touched by one of its own species. It would be alone forever.
“So what do I do doctor?” I said after a period of silence.
“You just keep looking at it.” “I’ve got a plan.” He said.
“Do you know if there are any other weeping angels in this town?”
I told about the one I saw earlier today.
“I will be back in a jiff.” He said while he ran out.

A few minutes later he returned. I was still standing in the same position as earlier, when he left.
“Now listen to me, I will count to three, and then you will duck. Understood?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, one… two… THREE!”
I ducked and felt the doctor’s arms around me. I suddenly felt safe. I really trusted this man.
“Okay, you can stand up now.” He said.
I stood up and looked at the weeping angels. The doctor tricked them into looking at each other.
I turned around and hugged the doctor.
“Are there more weeping angels out here?” I asked.
“I think so.” He replied. “Let’s get out of this place.”

Back in the TARDIS, ready for takeoff I started thinking. All the hundreds of people in that town, probably all sent back in time to live there life there. It’s not the worst death I could think off.
“They aren’t killers.” The Doctor said. “They are more like home wreckers.”
I looked at the Doctor and noticed that he’d teared up.
“Are you okay Doctor?” I asked while I walked up to him and gave him a hug.
“I’m fine, today just made me think of my home.” “All my friends, family, all dead.” “I’m all alone.
“You’ve got me.” I said.
He looked at me and smiled. We hugged.
After a couple minutes of silence he said: “So, where do you want to go next?”
“I don’t know.” I said. “There’s so much out there I haven’t seen.”
“Yet.” He said. “So much you haven’t seen yet.”
