Cold as Death
In the city of Shorewood, a secret never comes alone. Pull on one strand and find that buried right beneath your feet, a whole minefield is waiting to explode. Young nobleman Marlow Regan, desperate for a bigger purpose in life than dressing up for court parties, eagerly collects intel on high societys dealings for the Circle, the citys intelligence agency. But when his confidant is found murdered in a dark alley with no sign of a suspect, it all falls away. The question is who would dare to take on the Circle? When the head spymaster asks Marlow to keep his eyes open, he jumps at the opportunity to investigate. And although he is quick to follow leads and connect clues, he has yet to learn some roles cannot be played by the same person, and a noblemans life isnt meant to include break-ins, negotiations with criminals, and witnessed murders. As the mysteries keep piling up and the list of suspects keeps changing, Marlow had better be quick to dismantle all those deadly secrets. Because if he doesnt all that digging might just end in an early grave.
