Avery and Jacob Black are complete opposites. While Jacob spends his time studying and hanging out with his friends, Avery enjoys her time causing trouble with her best friend Paul Lahote. Everyone expected that Avery and Paul would end up together and marry, but when Paul doesn’t imprint on Avery after his first phase the two best friends are heartbroken. As if things aren’t bad enough, some else does imprint on Avery, her brother, Jacob Black.
