Fantasy Songbird
Fantasy Songbird
Your feathers are scattered around my floor.
Their sparkling beauty is something magnificent.
You're lost in a graceful dance.
Something hypnotic to my very soul.
I just stand at a distance, watching you.
Watching all you do to brighten up my day.
You strike me with eyes I just can't describe.
Maybe at the end I can take a feather with me.
A silent token to everything I have seen.
A perfect reminder of the fact that I lost my heart.
To something that is very much worth it.
I've lost it to a bird not caught by a cage.
But instead caught up in a dance of love and desire.
I've lost my heart to a bird that only follows the sky.
To one that soars between the very clouds.
And one that has seen everything I could only dream of.
I know one day you'll cradle me in your wings.
And tell me stories of a paradise unseen by many.
But envy will not be among my feelings.
Because your wings will be my very paradise.
And the sky will be our garden of eden.
