1 - A suprise visit

When Jen rounded the corner she all of the sudden became very nervous when she saw the big house that seems so open coming closer with every second. When the car stopped in front of the house her eyes looked at the address that was written on the small piece of paper she had been squeezing in all the way there. She nodded when she noticed that it was the same address as the one on the piece of paper.

“Come on Jen, you can do this” She said trying to motivate herself before she got out of the car and walked towards the front door of the Cullen house.

She knocked a few times gently trying to keep the strength she did have inside. After all bursting the door open immediately would not leave a good impression either. After just a few moments the door slowly opened and a blond man with the same pale skin and gold eyes as she had looked at her curious. He probably did not knew how to react on another vampire.

“Carlisle, who is it?” She heard a female voice behind him say.

“I don’t know Esme… I was about to ask her” He replied calmly while he smiled kindly at her. Not sure how to react then she inhaled deeply before her eyes made contact with the maybe couple in front of her.

“I’m not sure how to explain you this, it ’s a long story but I’m looking for Alice Cullen, my name is Jen” She explained somehow hoping that they wouldn’t make such a big deal of it. They both frowned when they looked at each other, maybe they didn’t know? Or maybe they looked like that because they did know.

“Alice?” the man, Carlisle, called gently and in a matter of seconds Alice moved downstairs gracefully as if she was dancing. Her spiky hair perfectly out of face and her eyes curious when she looked at Carlisle and Esme’s face expression. Then her eyes looked at the girl that stood there feeling a little awkward just like Carlisle and Esme did.

“Who are you?” She asked after a long while of silence.

“I don’t know how to tell you so it will be best if I just say it…I’m Jen, the daughter of your diseased sister” Jen said just saying it as it was not turning around the main point. Alice looked surprise and Carlisle and Esme let Alice alone with the girl.

“How did you find me?” Was the first response Alice gave when she let Jen in and when they both sat down in the Cullen living room. Alice her eyes turned unreadable when she looked at Jen.

“I found out about your…existence a month ago, it was not only my own curiosity about my mom’s so called ‘dead’ sister. It was another red-haired woman who was turning innocent people to fight for her that caused all of this. I was one of her victims, but she was not the one who turned me. The vision of that is kind of blurry to me but I was turned years ago. She somehow knew that I was related to you and that you are Edward’s sister. She was not exactly clear on all of the rest but on that point she was crystal clear” Jen explained.

“Victoria…” Alice said stuck deep in her thoughts.

“Yes, she kept telling me that I would be a powerful kind of chess piece that would be able to make you in particular, vulnerable. But I denied her forced invite, and she did not like that. She told me, no, she sworn that if I would not show up at the place on the date she had in mind that I would be sorry. I did change my mind, but for a selfish purpose. I knew that it was almost impossible to track you down because you don’t live so covered just for fun” Jen went on.

“She wanted you in her twisted group” Alice repeated.
Jen nodded.

“It is weird for me, to have you here because I recently just found out that you were alive and that I have or had a sister. It is so weird for me to have not see you coming in my visions. Usually they make these surprise visits not so surprising… for me at least” Alice explained.

“I understand. My mom talked about you a lot you know. I can’t understand how hard it must have been for her to first have her sister steal away from her and then her own daughter. But circumstances made it impossible for me to stay in touch with her because it was simply too dangerous” Jen explained. “Victoria was the one who actually let small hints slip about your existence, and while she did that I got more curious and started to search for information about you. I did not believe it when Victoria told it to another man. She did not know that I was listening, that’s how I found you basically”

Alice just nodded. “I don’t remember anything from my past… before I was turned”

“I thought I was the only one, and I wished that the fact was wrong but it isn’t. I’m sorry I don’t even know why I went off to find by coming here. I think that it is best that I leave now” Jen said in a hurried tone while she got up.

“Jennifer, no don’t go” Alice said loud which made her stop. She was the first who called her by her first name. “I just found my niece, you can’t leave now!” She shrieked. “We need to catch up, you need to tell me everything you know about my sister. You are family practically so now that I know you are…well alive we need to do stuff together like normal aunties and nieces do. Come on I already lost the time with my sister” Alice pleaded.

Jen smiled and nodded slowly. “I will give you my number. I settled down a few miles from here. It’s not that far”

“Thanks, I will call you” Alice promised while she oddly hugged her niece who frowned by her action.

“Think it through though Alice. I’m not hundred percents sure that I am out of the dangerous zone yet” Jen said before she left.
