3. Vampire Weekend - Campus

No real relationship was flawless. Every couple had their ups and downs. Oliver knew that. It didn’t mean he didn’t feel terrible after his first fight with Percy.
      It started with nothing, really. Percy hadn’t gotten the perfect grade he’d hoped for in Potions, and Oliver had teased him with it. Percy had snapped at him, which he might have had sort of deserved, maybe. Then they were suddenly both shouting at each other, and even though something warned Oliver to calm down before he said anything he would regret, he did not think twice before he spoke. He barely remembered half of what was said, but it ended with him yelling: “Just go away. I never want to see you again!” And Percy answering loudly: “Fine!”
      And then Percy was gone, and Oliver didn’t even know what to do. He contemplated going after Percy, but instead chose the cowards way out by staying in his dormitory and trying to get some actual homework done. Which might or might not have been a little bit out of shame because he had just accused Percy of always pressuring him into studying.
      When Oliver looked out of the window next to his desk, he saw a familiar redhead walking across the fields below, heading towards the greenhouses. He didn’t want to stare, because he was still supposed to be mad at Percy and act like he never wanted to see him again, but he couldn’t help himself. Percy looked up, almost as if he felt someone was looking at him, and Oliver quickly averted his gaze. He desperately wondered how he would ever be able to keep pretending for more than a day without going completely mad.
