~~Chapter Five~~

When we get outside the Hokage's Office, I look up at the statues. The paint is obviously still on them, but Naruto is gone. I guess Iruka-sensei got him.

"Umm... Mister Guard?" I call, because I don't know this guy's name. That probably means he wasn't important in the anime, so there is no need to ask his name. I know, my logic is weird.

"Yes? Is something wrong?"

"Nope. Just wanted to ask if we're almost there."

"Yes, we will arrive there in a few minutes."

"Okay...." I look back at my friends. "You know, I never thought I would ever say this, but... I wanna go to schoooooooolll!!" I jump up and down.

"Didi, calm down... We'll be there in a few minutes... That guy just said it." Lindy tries to calm me down.

"I know... But I wanna be there now, and see everyone." I whine.

"Yeah, you already kinda know them... for us it's the like the first day at a new school... which it actually is." Judith says.

"I know... Hehehe. I can blackmail them!! I know all their dirty little secrets... Bwahahaha!" I laugh.

"Yeah, you do. We don't. But please, don't blackmail them... they're ninjas, remember? They'll kill us!" Carrot says.

"So...?"

"What do you mean, so? It obvious, right? I WANT TO LIVE!!"

"So...?"

"Oh, whatever... Why do I even try. It's not like you're gonna listen to me..."

"Yep." I grin.

He glares at me.

"Come on, guys... be nice to each other." Lindy interrupts.

At that moment the guard stops, and I walk straight into him. I fall back and land on my butt.

"Ouch! Why did we stop?" I rub my nose, which hurts from its collision with the back of the guard.

"We are here. This is the Academy."

I look up, just like the others. It's smaller than I expected... that's a first. I laugh. Then I look around, and spot the swing. I run towards it and sit down.

"Ehmm... Dyonne? What are you doing?" The guard asks.

"Can't you see? I'm sitting on the swing."

"Yes, that's kind of obvious. What I wanted to ask was, WHY are you sitting on the swing?"

"Otherwise someone else was gonna take it." I glare at my friends. They look back innocently.

"Well, whatever... I'll lead you to the classroom." He turns around and enters the Academy.

I sigh and jump off the swing. We follow him inside, and we walk after him.

"This is your classroom. Iruka is your teacher." He opens the door, and walks inside.

We follow again, and when we enter, the whole class is staring at us.

"Who are they?"

"Dunno..."

"Never seen them before.

"They have weird clothes..."

"HEY! QUIET!" The guard shouts. Then he turns to Iruka-sensei, who is just standing there.. "I have to talk to you."

Iruka-sensei follows him outside, and we are just left there in front of the class.

"Dyonne... what do we do now?" Judith whispers.

"Dunno... say hi?" I reply. Then I turn to the class, with all it's familiar faces.

"HI!!" I wave at them enthusiastically.

"HEY! CAN YOU FREE ME?!" I hear screaming behind me. The voice is so familiar...

I turn around, and see Naruto sitting on the floor, bound with ropes.

"Who's that?" Schelte asks me.

"Ehm, that's Naruto." I whisper back. Then I walk towards Naruto, and free him.

"Ah, that's better! My arms were starting to get sore..." He rubs his arms. "Anyway, who are you?"

"Uhm... we are new here..." I smile. "My name is Dyonne, but everyone calls me Didi."

My friends also introduce themselves.

"I am Naruto, nice to meet you! Also, thanks for helping me! that stupid Iruka-sensei bound me..." He shakes his fist at the air.

"I kno- I mean, nice to meet you... Why did Iruka-sensei bind you with those ropes?" I ask, even though I already know.

"I was painting on the statues and Iruka caught me... Damn him!"

I laugh, and he looks at me funny. At that moment everyone starts firing questions at us, being tired of the conversation between us and Naruto.

"Where are you from?"

"How old are you?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Will you be going to school here?"

"Why are you wearing such weird clothes?"

I get tired even hearing the all of the questions, so I look at my friends, hoping they'll understand and answer the questions.

Judith and Carrot look overwhelmed by the questions, probably not knowing how to answer them. Jolien and Lindy see notice me looking, and nod. They turn to the class, which is now circled around us. Iruka-sensei is still outside, talking with the guard-person.

"I am 14, Lindy, Judith and Didi are 15, and Carrot is 16... We are from... from..." Jolien can't seem to find a good answer to that. I open my mouth, but Lindy is faster.

"We don't really come from anywhere, we don't live anywhere. We just travel, but from now on we'll stay here, in Konoha. We'll also be going to school here."

"And as to why we wear "weird clothes", as you call them, they are nice to travel in." Jolien finishes.

Judith and Carrot are just nodding, probably still a bit in shock. I'm not really surprised, though it's scary when they are so quiet. Jolien and Lindy are almost back to their normal, weird, crazy selves.

Then Iruka-sensei comes in, and everyone hurries back to their place. Everyone except Naruto and us.

"Sorry that it took so long, but it was rather important. From today on we'll have five new students in our class. Please welco- NARUTO WHO FREED YOU?!" He just now noticed Naruto was just standing there, which I don't get, because he is in the middle of the room. Ah, whatever.

"I freed myself!" I glare at him.

"It was me." I say, looking at Iruka-sensei. "He asked me to free him."

Naruto glares at me. Aww, I damaged his pride... poor him.

Iruka looks at him, and then sighs. "Well, whatever... I wanted do an exam on the Transformation Justu to punish Naruto, but with the new students, that will be difficult. So we'll do that another time."The class sighs in relief.

"But, you have to remember the exams are coming soon. Especially you Naruto, or do you want to fail again?" Naruto glares at him, and the rest of the class just nods and mutters something like "okay...". One voice stands out though.

"How troublesome..." Obviously, that was Shikamaru.

"Is there a problem, Shikamaru?" Iruka-sensei asks.

Shikamaru sighs. "It's just troublesome... Why do we have to do an exam? I just wanna watch the clouds..."

"Otherwise you can't become a ninja. And you can do that in your own time."

"I know, I know..." He sighs again. I chuckle.

Iruka-sensei looks our way, and then seems to remember we don't have a seat yet.

"Naruto, sit down. You five, just sit wherever you want." I smile, just like Jolien and Lindy. Judith and Carrot look downright horrified now. We walk towards an empty bench, and sit down. On the left is Judith, next to her is Carrot, then Lindy, then me, and then Jolien.

"For now just listen, I'll make sure you have textbooks tomorrow." Iruka-sensei says to us, and then he starts the lesson off where it was interrupted when we came in.
