Oh God, I thought to myself. I sat next to him on the bed now, so that I could be closer to him if he ever got mad again. I dabbed my tears and hissed at him.
“Don’t do that! You scared me! You’ll hurt yourself! Are you okay?” I frowned at him, as I put my hand to his face, wiping away the tears that kept flowing from his eyes. My eyes started tearing again too, but I didn’t stop the tears from falling now.
“Edward. I’d want you to stay… You’re too valuable to leave so early… Too early.” I took my hand away from his face, as his tears didn’t fall over his cheeks in such a flood anymore.
“No.” he groaned, and I smiled, I knew he hadn’t said no to my words, holding my hand to his face. I knew he liked it when I comforted him with anything. We’d been very good friends since the day we met. And just when we started to become more than that, the influenza struck him and his mother.
