“And… What about… you?” He breathed.
I shrugged. “I will most likely die alone, as I always told you I would. Or I might get lucky and become a vampire, too, then maybe we have a chance to meet again.” I smiled at him.
“Why… won’t I be able to… see you?”
“Vampire’s thirst is a hard thing. You might want to adjust in the beginning, and not have too much temptation by your side.” I pointed at my artery in my neck, showing the exact temptation he had to be aware of.
“I’d still want you there!” He suddenly yelled at me, and gasped, eyes wide-open. Tears flooded both his and my eyes, as I tried to calm him, my hands hovering uselessly over his chest, head and arms.
