ROBES The robes consist of kimonos that are worn over the students regular clothing. The colour of the kimonos do not represent the year that the student is in, but rather reflects their abilities and magical progress. The robes of frequent users of dark magic turn white. Students with white kimonos are immediately expelled and send to the Japanese Board of Code and Conduct. COLOURS OF THE KIMONOS Pink beginning colour, symbolizing purity and the beginning of their magical journey Yellow indicating the dawn of knowledge and enlightenment. Green representing growth and the deepening of their magical skills. Blue signifying wisdom and the broadening of their understanding. Purple indicating mastery and the transition to more advanced magical studies. Red symbolizing power, passion, and the honing of specialized magical skills. Gold representing excellence, leadership, and preparation for entering the wider magical world OTHER COLOURS Black worn by prefects and other student leaders, symbolizing authority, responsibility, and discipline. White worn by users of the dark arts. It is also possible that kimonos have coloured trims or embroidery . One kimono can have multiple additional colours. Gold trim indicating students who have been selected as school representatives in inter-school competitions or diplomatic functions. Silver trim worn by members of the school’s academic honor society or other prestigious academic groups. Bronze trim worn by students recognized for their contributions to school life, such as leading student organizations or excelling in magical sports. Crimson trim For students who have performed acts of bravery or heroism, either within the school or in the magical community. Rose trim worn by students known for their compassion and kindness, often involved in humanitarian efforts and inter-house cooperation. Indigo trim worn by students recognized for their creativity and innovation in magical theory and practice. FORMAL UNIFORM Occasions: The formal uniform is worn during ceremonies, important school events, and public appearances. Features: The formal attire includes more elaborate embroidery, with the addition of symbols representing the school’s values—such as dragons for power, phoenixes for rebirth, and cranes for longevity. Additional Accessories: A ceremonial sash worn over the shoulder, fastened with a brooch featuring the school crest. Traditional hats: Boys wear a jade green tengai (a type of conical hat), while girls wear an elegant hairpin adorned with charms and gemstones. ENCHANTED FEATURES Safety: The uniforms have built-in protective enchantments that can deflect minor spells and provide some level of protection against magical mishaps. Comfort: Enchanted to adjust for comfort based on the wearer’s body temperature and the external environment. Cleaning: Self-cleaning charms ensure that the uniforms remain pristine with minimal maintenance. |
