Beating the odds - scène 2 - the question

My dad joined me at the floor.
“What’s so interisting about the ceiling?” He asked. I took a deep breath.
“Dad?”
“Yeah, daughter of mine?”
“How do you know if you’re in love?”
He didn’t answer immediatley. His voice was relaxed and I felt the hint of a smile somewhere in there. “All the songs make sense.”
