People talking, trees passing by..her train trip continues as the clock ticks further. Hours pass and only a few more pages of the book she’s reading remain. Every now and then, she looks at the hour. Patience was never her thing. Waiting only made her nervous. Especially this time.

His eyes are on the train rails. He knew he would be sitting like that for a few more hours. But he didn’t mind. It would be worth it. He took his iPod out of his back pocket and scrolled through hundreds of songs. Each one giving him a special feeling.

She sighed, not knowing how to pass her time, now she had just finished her book. A headache caused by the nervousness and tiredness sent shivers down her spine. She looked up at the other people in the train. An old man, a mother with her children, a young lady (wearing a skirt wich our head character found way too short for the lady’s age), and a few teenage girls who were possibly heading for school or (if they were skipping school once again) for the city.

He lit the cigarette that was currently in his hand so he could enjoy his (what he called) breakfast. It was cold, but he didn’t really mind, he just shrugged the shivers off and looked up, seeing that the sun had already set. The sun shone upon his face as the air around him began to warm up. He finished his cigarette and threw it to the ground, watching as the ashes were driven away by the breeze that made him smell the air that filled the train station.

With every stop the train made, people got off of the train and headed to their destination, while she remained silent and sat there, watching as the train moved once again and left every station behind. She let out a small yelp as she heard her cellphone make a sound she knew very well. She looked at her cellphone and saw the words she had expected. “1 New Message” she pushed some buttons and the message opened. “I’m here, i’m waiting.”

He grinned as he received an answer to the message he had sent not so long ago. “I’m on my way.” It said. He was sure he didn’t have to wait much longer. The grin on his face grew and soon he was smiling, smiling at the thought of what was going to happen. He stood up and began to walk on the platform, he didn’t feel like sitting anymore, and he sure had some time left to go for a walk.
Nerves grew when she was only 2 train stops away of what she had wanted for weeks. She put the book ( that was still in her lap) away in the backpack that lay beside her. She looked at the time for the 5th time in 10 minutes. Only a few more minutes…

He ran back to the spot he was sitting on not long ago. When he got there, people were already gathering on the platform, waiting for their train to arrive. Voices were getting louder as he could hear a train getting closer. He looked at the board that hung above him and saw that it was the train he was waiting for.

She took her backpack and hung it over her shoulder as she buttoned up her jacket and made her way to the door that would lead her to the platform. The doors slid open and she made her way outside. Her eyes searched through the crowd. She walked pass all the people, wondering where her love had gone.

The train doors slid open and ,after a few moments, he saw her. He saw her face, her beautiful eyes, her smile. He pushed his way through the crowd wich earned him a few dirty looks and some insults. His love stood there, not yet seeing him, looking around, searching for him.

She did not see him, where was he? Her stomach dropped. Maybe he had left already. Maybe she shouldn’t have come. On that moment, she felt 2 arms around her waist. She smiled. She had been wrong, he had not left, and it had not been a waste of time coming there. She had found what she had been looking for. “Hi.” The boy whispered in her ear. “Hey.” She said. “I’ve missed you..” she smiled. “I’ve missed you too sweetie.” She answered. “We’re going to have a great time this summer.” The smile on her face grew. “Yeah, we will, we sure will..”

It was true, they were going to have a great time together. Although the lovers did not see each other much because they lived so far away from each other, they sure did enjoy their holidays together. And just like every time, this summer was going to be great, because they would be together.
